MCS capacitors have high mechanical and electrical resistance thanks to the metallized polypropylene film and the elements production technique which uses thermosetting resin and occurs in a vacuumed and dry environment. Bobbins are also coated with resin in a vacuumed and dry environment; resin inhibits air and humidity during expansion or sweating. Elements consist of series and parallel groups in casing. MSC Series Power Capacitors are manufactured according to thermal, electrical and mechanical parameters and their designs are produced according to the thermal cooling due to the element temperature change in casing. The elements metal box is filled with inorganic and fire proof granules which do not prevent thermal cooling and extinguish flames in case of possible defect. The production of MSC capacitors doesn t use any harmful gas and materials and is in accordance with international standards and requirements which enables the capacitors to be recyclable at the end of their lifetime. External discharge resistors are used as standard in MSC capacitors and provide voltage reduction between the capacitor terminals when power failure occurs. MSC capacitors have perfect current and voltage withstands which extends their lifecycle. They can be used in all kind of compensation and filtering applications with high performance and safety. They have been known for their stability and high capacity for many years thanks to the high quality metallized self-healing polypropylene film and internal fuse. Thanks to their low dielectric losses, the MSC capacitors provide compensation and filter needs of facilities and they keep active power losses at minimum levels. Basic features of SCS Series compensation systems are: Capacitors are switched on and off with static switching which contains thyristor diode packets instead of contactors. During switching (ON/OFF) there are no transient situations such as over current and voltage transient. Thanks to the millisecond response time in low voltage, real time reactive power compensation can take place. The system contains harmonic filter reactors which enable it to work without any effect of the harmonic loadings and inrush. Any potential serial and parallel resonance can be eliminated through harmonic filtering. The system can be used at 50Hz and 60Hz across all kind of facilities and processes. The power factor is continuously kept at level 1 which delivers excellent results. They provide long life with physical strength and withstand values of 20% over voltage and 50% over current. The compensation system is manufactured and tested in accordance with IEC standards. These systems are economic and practical because they offer easy installation, manpower and time saving, no additional material, high level protection against touching, electrical and physical strength. They also provide increase of power and revision. Basic structure of SCS Series compensation system consists of C7s type modular compensation rack units which have state switch and harmonic filter. The modular compensation units are mounted consecutively and confirm either in racks or a withdrawable form. Using the modular rack format allows the operator to add and modify the steps in case the facility becomes bigger or smaller during the process and requires step changes; that was the power increase can be completed easily and is not delayed with the operation capacity change. 6 HV Capacitor Banks Our enclosed capacitor banks are used for power factor correction, voltage balance, harmonics suppression and are specifically designed to maximise network capacity in industrial applications and electrical distribution networks. Types of Banks 1.Fixed Capacitor Banks These banks are connected in continuous mode directly to the loads and provide a fixed quantity of reactive power at all times. They can be permanently connected to the loads or can be switched by means of devices located in customer s switchgear. 2.Fixed Capacitor Banks with Switching Device These banks are similar to the previous type but in addition, they are fitted with a switching device (contactor or circuit breaker), that allows them to be connected and disconnected from the network at any time. 3.Automatic Capacitor Banks These banks consist of different steps each of which is composed of capacitor units, reactors and switching devices, all mounted in a common enclosure. They can improve the power factor by providing the required amount of reactive power under varying load conditions. In addition, The operation, control and monitoring of the different steps are carried out by a microprocessor based controller based on the need for reactive power. There are one or more step cubicles where capacitors, reactors, fuses and switching devices are located. Banks can be manufactured with various options and configurations to meet virtually all customer needs. 10 MCC & Distribution Panels The fully withdrawable technology of our Motor Control Centres (MCC) offers many advantages especially for applications where malfunctions must be rectified without interrupting the operations. Common areas of application include processing industries e.g. material handling, chemical industry or water treatment plants. Product Features Easy insertion and retraction of the fully withdrawable units. Unlike conventional plug-in technology, there is no need to overcome the mechanical resistance of plug contacts In case of failure, the drawer can be disconnected by the contacting module and can be replaced without the use of any tool. Power distribution with wear-free contacts in the contact modules Individual withdrawable modules can be quickly exchanged or added during operation without needing to switch off the power Inserted withdrawable modules can be locked in the positions operation, test and disconnected Protection against incorrect operations is secured through safe locking mechanisms. Fully withdrawable modules are available in standard configurations: 3-pole or 4-pole; with 125A, 315A, 630A rated current The compact contact modules offer cost-effective solutions Technical Details The field distribution bus bar is integrated into the system wall between the equipment and the cable compartments. Due to the internal subdivision of the fields up to form 4 a high level of safety is ensured for both the operation and the people handling the system. Cable entry is possible from above and below the terminal compartment. The fields and modules are designed on the basis of a 25mm grid according to DIN (25mm=1 module). The standardised modules are available with height groupings of 75mm (3 modules); the heights 3/6/9/12 module types are available. The preferred width for the equipment compartment is 600 mm. The system is type tested according to IEC for 50 ka 1 sec. The connection mechanism is designed to allow the drawer to be set to any of the four positions presented below. The degree of protection of the switchboard is maintained in all positions (connected, test, disconnected and drawer removed). This is made possible by the door that can remain closed in these four positions. 1-) Connected Position : Power and auxiliary circuits are all connected. This position may be locked using up to three padlocks. A safety system prevents door opening as long as the circuit breaker is closed (ON position). The interlocking mechanism connects the door handle and the operating shaft on the circuit breaker. 2-) Test Position : Power circuits are disconnected (upstream and downstream), auxiliary circuits remain connected. This position may be used to check the auxiliary circuits and may be locked using up to three padlocks. 3-) Disconnected Position : All circuits are disconnected. 4-) Removed Position.
