It is capable of drilling holes up to 60 in diameter. It will accept most motors with a 3½ X 3½ flange mount and 5 /8 spline coupler drive (AN2001). It has approximately a 3.7:1 ratio between low and high gear. It is very strong and very well liked by core drillers. 31 MI-502 Gearbox System (1.5:1, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1 Ratios) The MI-502 gearbox system is required to be used with ME-420; ME-425, and ME HZ motors. They can also be used as supplementary gearboxes for your existing motors to speed up or slow down your diamond cutting tools. These gearboxes all use AN-2001 flanges for both input and output and ⅝ spline couplings for both input and output drives. This means the gearboxes can be mixed and matched to get almost any RPM you require, either lower or higher than previously possible. For example: a wall saw gearbox using a 3,000 RPM motor has output speed of 1,000 RPM. For sawing special jobs with large blades you could insert an MI with a 1.5:1 ratio that would produce a 668 RPM output speed or the MI with a 2:1 ratio which would produce a 500 RPM output speed, or the MI with a 3:1 ration would produce 333 RPM output speed or the MI with 4:1 ratio would produce 250 RPM output speed. It has both a voltmeter and amp meter so the operator can run the motor at it s maximum efficiency. The switchbox has one 73 Amp input and one 73 Amp output plug for economy and simplicity. It has a rotary reversing switch to quickly change the rotation direction of the diamond tool. Convenient rear mounted hooks are provided for hanging this switchbox from a ladder or other locations. 45 SB F/R FORWARD/REVERSE SWITCHBOX When doing deep drilling, it is convenient to use the SB-400-F/R switchbox to screw and unscrew extension rods and threaded bits. In the clockwise position it is a standard rotation On and Off switchbox and in the counter clockwise position, it is spring loaded to shut off when released. This switchbox can save you lots of time on certain types of drilling. Load Meter which reads 0-125% for load monitoring. 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 60 / 75 Capacities available. 46 SB CB CIRCUIT BREAKER SWITCHBOX These switchboxes will prevent overload of your matching 400HZ motors, keeping the cost to operate very low. Heat is the enemy of all electric motors and preventing overload will give you long bearing life and substantially cut down motor rewind problems. Long circuit breaker delay at motor start to allow motors to get to speed % meter to monitor load on motor.
