3 DISTRICT OF MISSION TICKET INFORMATION BYLAW A bylaw to authorize a Bylaw Enforcement Officer to lay an information and issue a summons by means of a ticket for contravention of a bylaw Consolidated Municipal Ticket Information Page 3 of 23 WHEREAS Section 934.1(1)(a) of the Municipal Act empowers the Council to, by bylaw, designate those bylaws for which municipal ticket information may be used as a means of bylaw enforcement; AND WHEREAS Section 934.1(1)(c) of the Municipal Act empowers the Council to, by bylaw, authorize the use of any word or expression on a municipal ticket information to designate an offence against a bylaw; AND WHEREAS Section 934.1(10) of the Municipal Act empowers the Council to, by bylaw, set fine amounts in consultation with the Chief Judge of the Provincial Court; AND WHEREAS the Council deems it expedient to authorize the use of municipal ticket information for the enforcement of certain bylaws, to authorize the use of certain words or expressions to designate certain bylaw offences and to set certain fine amounts; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the District of Mission, in open meeting assembled, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bylaws listed in Schedule 1 to this Bylaw, as amended from time to time, may be enforced by means of a ticket in the form prescribed for the purpose of Section of the Municipal Act. 2. The persons appointed to the positions listed in Schedule 1 to this Bylaw are designated as Bylaw Enforcement Officers pursuant to the Municipal Act for the purpose of enforcing the bylaws listed opposite the respective positions. 3. Schedules 2 through 15 to this Bylaw designate the offence committed under the bylaw section number and the fine set pursuant to the Municipal Act for the corresponding offence. 4. This Bylaw may be cited as District of Mission Ticket Information. 5. This Bylaw shall take effect upon the date of its adoption.
