20 FOUR DRIVING MODES. ZERO x 4 = ZERO ZERO hasn't been designed just for sunny days or Sunday driving. ZERO is a real alternative for everyday city traffic. There are four cars within every ZERO. The different driving modes can be selected at any time, depending on changing road or weather conditions or on your driving style. Centrally positioned on the dashboard are four coloured buttons that correspond to ZERO's four characters. In each driving mode each aspect is altered - performance, acceleration, drive, energy recovery when slowing down and brake power. 18 RACE Maximum power, this mode brings out ZERO's sports car soul. 22 TECHNOLOGY IN MOTION. 20 A quest for the best solutions to offer the latest technology at a competitive price. That's the idea behind ZERO. An electric vehicle without rivals, developed without the transformation technicalities that limit endothermic vehicles. ZERO goes further and accepts no compromises. The Tazzari Group has specially designed an aluminium chassis that's light, resistant, efficient and dynamic. The electric drive benefits from the fantastic performance of lithium ion batteries that are controlled by a specific BMS and active equaliser. These aspects have been created to give ZERO long-term reliability and make it practical to use. The three-phase asynchronous electric engine with aluminium body is at wheel fulcrum height, just behind the central safety cell. To create a balance, the batteries are spaced out below the seats and towards the front of the vehicle. These aspects contribute to making the centre of gravity ultra-low and as a consequence the weight is distributed evenly between the two axles. This gives incredible roadholding and stability in any kind of conditions. The position of the power unit, slightly off-centre compared to the longitudinal vehicle axis, adds balance when driving without a passenger. In the right-hand drive vehicle, the engine is placed on the left to create perfect balance in this configuration too.

23 INTELLIGENT SAFETY. Leaving nothing to chance when it comes to safety, ZERO is provided with an electro-assisted brake system with four disc brakes, a feature usually reserved for racing cars. ZERO's sophisticated bearing structure is made up of three frames, the central one guaranteeing safety in the case of impact in the passenger and driver area, while the front and rear frames have been designed with structures, parts and materials specifically created and tested to absorb external impact, with controlled deformation to protect the central safety cell. 21

24 22 LUXURY IS A STANDARD FEATURE. As well as the latest generation lithium batteries, ZERO's other standard features are first class. LEDs are used for the tail lights, the third brake light and the wing mirrors with integrated indicator lights as well as the interior lighting and luggage compartment lighting. Power windows, rear fog lights, electric wing mirrors, a remote controlled central locking system and an immobiliser are all standard features too. There's a radio with MP3, USB input, ipod and 12V socket for a mobile or iphone to make your journey more pleasurable. A LED econometer is incorporated into the dashboard of all vehicles to help you monitor consumption at all times. This, together with a charge monitor, enables you to manage the re-

25 23 sidual range of your ZERO to the best. In keeping with the dynamic character of ZERO, there are a threespoke leather sports steering wheel, 15 cast aluminium wheels and two comfortable eco-leather seats. The dashboard, door-linings and interior upholstery are made in special soft touch material. The designer pedals and internal handles are made in aluminium castings. As a standard feature, ZERO comes with four brake discs with regenerative braking. Included in the purchase price are also the lithium battery pack, a standard on-board compact battery charger, an electric heating system and two luggage compartments with an overall capacity of 180 litres.

Created in Imola, each vehicle can be customised in numerous ways to make it your own. By selecting from the 12 bodywork colour options and the 3 wheel rim colour options there are 36 possible bi-colour combinations and you can even order your own customised colour, indicating the RAL colour code of your choice. Ultra-light sports bucket seats, sunroof, parking sensors, an extra-powerful heating system, an anti-theft device with siren, white LED tail lights and third brake light these and other accessories have been created to allow for multi-level personalisation. Each ZERO can thus become unique.

27 EASY TO RECHARGE. If you own a mobile phone you already know how to charge your ZERO. All you need is an electrical socket. The cable is taken from the front luggage compartment and plugged into the socket. Using the standard 220V on-board battery charger (standard issue on all vehicles) and with a power supply of 1.8 kw, it only takes about 10 hours to charge the batteries completely from 0% to 100%. With the optional 220V MULTIFAST battery charger, you can fill up from 0% to 100% in around 5 hours at maximum absorption speed. This charger, which is also inside the vehicle, has three speeds and can be adjusted at any time depending on the power supply or time available for charging. 25 With the 380V SUPERFAST external charger and a three-phase power supply the battery can be recharged from 0% to 80% in under an hour. An ideal solution for ZEROs that are part of a fleet of company cars.
