2 What is a connection fee? The connection fee covers the costs for the construction of the distribution network up to the connection point. The construction costs refer to the expense of building the medium-voltage network, secondary substation and the low-voltage network. The connection fee for a new electricity connection also covers the connection to the distribution network and the deployment of one energy meter. The connection point is usually on the border of the plot or site where the new electricity connection is required. The connection point is determined in the connection contract. The charge for connecting to the distribution network is determined according to this pricelist. The charge for connecting the site to the distribution network is determined according to the applicable rates. The previously agreed terms and conditions apply to any previously determined connection or area prices. The connection fee is not refundable upon termination of the connection contract. Low-voltage connection The connection fee for new low-voltage connections in based on the size of the main fuse (fuse holder) and the distance measured in a straight line from a built 20 kv medium-voltage line or an existing secondary substation (zones 1 and 2). The highest recommended low-voltage connection is A. The connection fee includes value-added tax (24%). 3 Zone 1 Zone 1 covers connections with the connection point located a maximum of 300 metres from an existing 20 kv line (excluding underwater cabling) or the existing secondary substation measured in a straight line. All connections within town planning areas are under zone 1. For shore plan areas, we apply zone pricing based on the distance.

4 Zone 2 Zone 2 covers connections with a main fuse of up to 3x63 A and a connection point located a minimum of 300 metres and maximum of 600 metres from an existing 20 kv line (excluding underwater cabling) or the existing secondary substation measured in a straight line. Caruna has approximately 82,000 km of network all around Finland. Zone 3 Zone 3 covers all low voltage connections not included in zones 1 or 2. Zone 3 connections are priced on a case-by-case basis. In case of several connections, an area-specific price is defined for the new connections. The price of a new individual connection is a minimum of 1.2 times the connection price of zone 1.

5 Medium-voltage connection 20 kv Electricity supply voltage is 20 kv. The connection fee is made up of construction costs and the capacity reservation fee of 20/KVA (VAT 0%) The connection point is located at the secondary substation. The connecting party owns and pays for the substation and is responsible for the cable route and excavations on the plot. In the case of connection voltage level arising any connection and construction costs will be charged case by case. Additional fee for increasing the fuse size In case of an increased connection fuse size, the difference in the cost depends on zone pricing. If the connection is changed from a 1-phase connection to a 3-phase connection (3x25 A), a phase connection fee is charged. If the increase in main fuse size requires a metering change, the applicable service fees will be charged. If a zone 3 connection is changed from 1-phase connection to 3-phase connection (3x25 A), the minimum charge is a phase connection fee in accordance with current rates. If the peak power metered monthly for a 20 kv connection exceeds connection capacity, as referred to in the connection contract, twice during the same calendar year, an additional connection fee will be charged in accordance with current rates. The connecting party will not be refunded for a reduction in the connection main fuse size or the connection capacity. Connection cable The connection fee does not include a connection cable from the network connection point to the connecting party s electrical installations. The connecting party needs to hire a contractor to build this cable, and ensure that the cable s cross-section, structure and installation comply with Caruna s specifications. The length of the cable should be max 200 metres. Temporary connections Fees and costs for metering connections and network constructions will be charged with a Temporary Distribution product. Connection maintenance If your property does not need electricity but you would like to keep the connection for future use, you can maintain the connection in standby without the network contract. In that case, the connection status will be changed to maintenance. We will charge for the maintenance of electricity supply capacity according to our network service rates. Delivery fees (incl.
