Injected Plastic Grilamid TR-90 (see below) Propionate CP (see below) Trogamid TR-55 (see below) The above are all nylon-based, translucent, ultra-lightweight and hypoallergenic plastic materials that are co-polyamids. These materials are approximately 20% lighter than standard plastics and offer superior comfort, durability and flexibility. Injected plastics should always use a cold insert. Frame adjustments can be made after lens insertion using slight heat, not to exceed 40C/104F. Methacrylate Used in logo plaques for specific collections. Plastic Glossary Cellulose Acetate/Zyl A flexible plastic material available in a wide array of colors and patterns. Zyl contains organic materials and plasticizers that is manufactured in sheet form (extruded) or pellets (injected). Warm the frame to insert the lenses and to make frame adjustments. Heat should not exceed 71C/160F. Sunglass Lenses CR 39 Lens Lightweight, scratch-resistant, UV protective plastic lenses. Mag-Set Polarized A patented clip-on technology which utilizes specially placed magnets on the clip-on to lock into hidden magnets in the frame endpieces which join the clip-on and frame together. The clip-on houses polarized lenses that reduce glare, are UV protective and enhance color, definition and depth perception. Mask 2wing A specialized mask/shield that keeps the look of a shield while maintaining separate curvatures for each eye. UV protective. Nylon Shield This shield lens is made of an optical quality, nylon material and is UV protective. Nylon Lens This shield lens is made of an optical quality, nylon material and is UV protective. Polarized Polarized lenses reduce glare created by reflected light while enhancing color contrast, definition and depth perception. Also UV protective. Toric Lenses/Shield Toric lenses/shields that have different curvatures in the horizontal and vertical meridians, enhancing optical clarity and reducing distortion. UV protective. UltraClip Polarized A patented design which uses a special eye wire material on the base frame and magnets housed on the interior of the clip-on to join the front and clip-on together. The clip-on houses polarized lenses that greatly reduce glare, and enhance color, definition and depth perception. 41 Nose Pads Hinge Adjustable Pad Arms Nose pad arms that can be adjusted for comfort.
