Sumey California University of PA rev. 9/11/18 Overview UAVs may be classified according to various metrics scale (size) method of lift generation range/endurance mission purpose for particular reasons cost/budgeting mission accommodations amount of support (ground) required application UAS110 UAV Classification 2 Impetus during the early years of UAV development, classification methods for UAVs were driven by military requirements and the creation of standard terminology, although it changes frequently range of sizes varies greatly palm of your hand to as large as full-size aircraft UAS110 UAV Classification 3 1
