10 CSAR and Tactical Lift The French Délégation Générale pour l'armement received the first EC 725 on 10 February 2005 at Eurocopter's Marignane site. This aircraft will be used by the French air force to fulfil its combat SAR missions. Deliveries will take place during 2005 and The latest addition to the Cougar family, the EC 725 benefits from the experience of its predecessors and is fitted with many technical improvements. The French air force, EC 725 inaugural client of the EC 725 programme, will operate six of these helicopters. The army has ordered eight units to equip the special operations units of the French army air corps. 50] [51

13 56] Typhoon Eurofighter The Eurofighter programme is steered by the NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency (NETMA), which acts on behalf of the participating nations (Germany, Great Britain, Italy and Spain). The industrial counterpart is Eurofighter GmbH, the joint undertaking of the partner companies involved. This company coordinates the technical, commercial, production- and supplier-related activities associated with ongoing contracts and also takes care of export matters. Today we have demonstrated our commitment to continuing with the project.
