4 4/6 Bosch Rexroth G Hydraulics DBDH...X/...XC...E RE 2500-XC-B2 Function, sectional diagram, symbol Valves of the type DBDH X/ XC E are type-tested, directly operated pressure relief valves which conform to the ressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EG. hey are employed for reducing system pressure and are intended for use as safety valves. When the preset response pressure is exceeded in the duct, the valves react and connect the and ducts internally. he valves are available in different versions: as screw-in valve K for screwing into blocks, as a valve with threaded connection G, or as a valve for subplate mounting ( G and are not possible with size NG4). he screw-in valve itself, which is used in all versions, basically consists of the sleeve (7), spring (6), cone (5., response pressure up to 400 bar) or ball (5.2, response pressure 405 bar and over), valve seat (4) and setting element (8). he spring presses the cone (5.) or the ball (5.2) against the valve seat (4). he response pressure is factory-set to a fixed value using the setting element, then the valve is sealed. he duct is connected to the system. he pressure predominating in the system acts on the cone or the ball. If the pressure in the duct rises above the value set by the pretension of the spring, the cone or the ball lifts up from the valve seat against the spring force, and connects the and ducts. he pressure fluid flows out of the duct into the duct. Design measures limit the maximum possible lift of the cone. he valves are available with graduated response pressures (in 5 bar increments). he valve spring can be relieved of tension using the hand wheel, and the response pressure can be reduced from the factory setting without having to remove the seal. o do this, please refer to art III of the Operating Instructions, RE 2500-XC-B3, section 5.3. 7 RE 2500-XC-B2 DBDH...X/...XC...E Hydraulics Bosch Rexroth G 7/6 Important information for operation in accordance with the ressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EG Before you order a type-tested safety valve, please note that at the desired response pressure p, the maximum permitted flow rate q Vmax of the safety valve is greater than the maximum possible flow rate of the system/accumulator which the valve is intended to protect. With this in mind, please note the appropriate regulations. In accordance with ressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EG, the system pressure may not increase due to the flow rate by more than 0 % of the set response pressure (see component code). he maximum permitted flow rate q Vmax specified in the component code must not be exceeded. Flow lines from safety valves must exit safely. It must not be possible for fluid to collect in the flow system (see D2000, code of practice 2). Essential notes for use! he response pressure specified in the component code is factory-set at a flow rate of 2 l/min. he maximum permitted flow rate specified in the component code applies to applications without back pressure in the flow line (port ). If the seal on the safety valve is removed, the valve no longer conforms to the ressure Equipment Directive! he requirements of the ressure Equipment Directive and the D2000 code of practice 2 must be observed! We strongly recommend that type-tested safety valves are secured by means of wiring and sealing to the housing/block (bore hole available in setting element), to prevent their unauthorized removal from the screw-in housing/block. Note he rising flow rate causes the system pressure to increase by the amount of the back pressure in the flow line (port ). Note D2000 code of practice 2, item 6.3. In order to ensure that this rise in system pressure due to the flow rate does not exceed 0 % of the set response pressure, the permitted flow rate must be reduced as a function of the back pressure in the flow line (port ) (see pages 8 to ).

From the diagram (see arrows, curve 7), read the maximum permitted back pressure p of approx. 36 bar. Example 2 with interpolated curve System/accumulator flow rate that is not to be exceeded: q Vmax = 5 l/min Safety valve set to: p = 50 bar. Value to be entered on the p axis: /0 x 50 bar = 5 bar. On the q Vmax axis, enter the system flow rate that is not to be exceeded. 5. For this value, ascertain the maximum permitted back pressure on the basis of the line on the p axis that you have just drawn. In a branch of the through-bore between these two ports there is the main spool insert. When this is open there is a connection to port (tank line). ump safety block type DB he pressure applied in the through-bore acts on the main spool (3). t the same time, pressure is applied to the spring-loaded side of the main spool (3) and to the ball (8) in the pilot control valve (2) via the control lines (6) and (7) which are equipped with nozzles (4) and (5). If the pressure in the through-bore exceeds the value set at spring (9), ball (8) opens against spring (9). he signal for this is provided internally from the throughbore via control lines (0) and (6). he hydraulic fluid on the spring-loaded side of main spool (3) now flows via the control line (7), nozzle bore () and ball (8) into the spring chamber (2). Discharge lines of safety valves must end in a risk-free manner. he accumulation of fluids in the discharge lines must not be possible (see D data sheet 2).
