5 1.0 OBJECTIVE The objective of this test report is to present all test and test results performed by Meggitt Fuelling Products at Meggitt North Hollywood on part numbers F145 and F145J single point ground fueling nozzle. This report is to show that the F145 and F145J were designed and tested in accordance to SAE AS5877, Detailed Specification for Aircraft Pressure Refueling Nozzle. This report is to show that the F145 and F145J single point fueling nozzle meets the test requirement of SAE AS5877 in order to qualify the nozzle in the commercial market. 2.0 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS SAE AS5877 Detailed Specification for Aircraft Pressure Refueling Nozzle, issue SAE AS5877A Detailed Specification for Aircraft Pressure Refueling Nozzle, issue , Revision A. MS24484 Pressure Refueling Adapter SAE ARP5298 Adapter Wear Limits 3.0 TEST UNITS Stock Garwood Qualification Test Report, Revision B AIFP145 Meggitt Fuelling Products Assembly Drawing, Revision B A total of four units were provided to Garwood Laboratories for testing. 3 Slot Single Point Pressure Fueling Nozzle, D-1 configuration: F145 SAMPLE 1 F145 SAMPLE 2 6 Slot Single Point Pressure Fueling Nozzle, D-1 configuration: F145J SAMPLE 1 F145J SAMPLE 2 The F145 and F145J were designed to connect to a 2-1/2 inch pressure fueling adapter conforming to MS24484 to allow fueling and defueling an aircraft by means of a pressure fueling system. The difference between the F145 and the F145 J is in the nozzle s mating design with the fueling adapter. The F145 has a 3 slot configuration to mate with the fueling adapter while the F145J is designed with a 6 slot configuration to mate with the fueling adapter. Both the F145 and F145J nozzles feature aluminum bodies, swivel inlet hose connection, stick handles, one piece nose seal, and dust cap

6 4.0 CONCLUSION The F145 and F145J successfully passed all required tests per SAE AS5877 specification for D-1 type nozzles. All testing was performed as per SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 and F145J are deemed allowable for field testing in the commercial industry. 5.0 SUBSTANTIAION BY TEST 5.1 TEST SEQUENCE The following table represents all testing required of the F145 SAMPLE 1 and F145 SAMPLE 2 and F145J SAMPLE 1 and F145J SAMPLE 2 single point fueling nozzle. Nozzles labeled SAMPLE 1 performed all test sequence listed under Sample 1 and nozzles labeled SAMPLE 2 performed all test sequence listed under Sample 2. It shall then be reassembled and the testing program beginning with shall be resumed. Unless otherwise stated, all tests were performed at ambient temperatures of F and atmospheric pressures of inches mercury

7 5.3 TEST FLUID Unless otherwise stated, PD-680 Stoddard solvent was used to conduct all test required per SAE AS EXAMINATION OF PRODUCT Setup: Not applicable Procedure: The test specimens were examined for workmanship defects, flaws, or other items which there are no specific tests Results: Product examination of part number F145 SAMPLE 1, F145 SAMPLE 2, F145J SAMPLE 1, and F145J SAMPLE 2 were conducted at Meggitt North Hollywood, at North Hollywood, Ca. All nozzles were assembled to Meggitt AIPF145 revision B drawing. The F145 SAMPLE 1 and SAMPLE 2 weigh 9 pounds each. The F145J SAMPLE 1 and SAMPLE 2 weigh 9 pounds each. 5.5 PROOF PRESSURE TEST SUMMARY Proof pressure testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 1, SAMPLE 2 and F145J SAMPLE 1, SAMPLE 2 all passed the proof pressure test. The Stork Garwood Laboratories test report, with procedures and data sheets, is included in appendix A for reference. 5.6 FUNCTIONAL-STATIC TEST SUMMARY Functional static testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 1, SAMPLE 2 and F145J SAMPLE 1, SAMPLE 2 passed the functional-static test. The Stork Garwood Laboratories test report, with procedures and data sheets, is included in appendix A for reference. 5.7 PRESSURE LOSS TEST SUMMARY Pressure loss testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph through of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 1, SAMPLE 2 and F145J SAMPLE 1, SAMPLE 2 passed the pressure loss test. The Stork Garwood Laboratories test report, with procedures and data sheets, is included in appendix A for reference. 5.8 LEAKAGE TEST SUMMARY Leakage testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 1, SAMPLE 2 and F145J SAMPLE 1, SAMPLE 2 passed the leakage test with no signs of leakage. The Stork Garwood Laboratories test - 3 -

8 report, with procedures and data sheets, is included in appendix A for reference. 5.9 SWIVEL ENDURANCE TEST SUMMARY Report No: Swivel endurance testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 1, SAMPLE 2 and F145J SAMPLE 1, SAMPLE 2 passed the leakage test with no signs of leakage. The Stork Garwood Laboratories test report, with procedures and data sheets, is included in appendix A for reference ENDURANCE - NORMAL OPERATION TEST SUMMARY Endurance testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph through of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 1 and F145J SAMPLE 1 passed the endurance test with no signs of binding, instability, or leakage during the test. After the endurance test, the F145 SAMPLE 1 and F145J SAMPLE 1 were disassembled and inspected. There were no signs of significant damage of the nozzle from the endurance test. The unit was reassembled and placed through the extended endurance testing per paragraph The Stork Garwood Laboratories test report, with procedures and data sheets is included in appendix A for reference ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVIY TEST SUMMARY Electrical conductivity testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 2 and F145J SAMPLE 2 passed the electrical conductivity test. The test units registered less than 10Ω when measured across the nozzle inlet and the adapter mounting flange. The Stork Garwood Laboratories test report, with procedures and data sheets, is included in appendix A for reference FUEL RESISTANCE & EXTREME TEMPERATURE TEST SUMMARY Fuel resistance and extreme temperature testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 2 and F145J SAMPLE 2 passed the fuel resistance and extreme temperature test with no sign of leakage during the test. The Stork Garwood Laboratories test report, with procedures and data sheets, is included in appendix A for reference ACCERLERATED CORROSION TEST SUMMARY Accelerated corrosion testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 2 and F145J SAMPLE 2 passed the fuel resistance and extreme temperature test with no sign of leakage during the test. 9 5.14 STRENGTH TEST SUMMARY Strength testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 2 and F145J SAMPLE 2 passed the strength test with no sign of damage or leakage during the test. The Stork Garwood Laboratories test report, with procedures and data sheets, is included in appendix A for reference DROP TEST SUMMARY Drop testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 1 and F145J SAMPLE 1 passed the drop test with signs of visual damage, but damage did not effect the function of the nozzle. The nozzle did not leak during the leakage test performed after the drop test. The Stork Garwood Laboratories test report, with procedures and data sheets, is included in appendix A for reference ENDURANCE - EXTENDED OPERATION TEST SUMMARY Extended operation endurance testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 1 and F145J SAMPLE 1 passed the extended operation endurance test without leakage. The Stork Garwood Laboratories test report, with procedures and data sheets, is included in appendix A for reference WORN ADAPTER TEST SUMMARY Worn adapter testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 1 and F145J SAMPLE 1 passed the worn adapter test without leakage. The Stork Garwood Laboratories test report, with procedures and data sheets, is included in appendix A for reference BURST PRESSURE TEST SUMMARY Burst pressure testing was performed at Garwood Laboratories per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 SAMPLE 1 and F145J SAMPLE 1 passed the burst pressure test without damage. Leakage occurred at the flange connection between the 45 elbow and the male quick disconnect adapter, however leakage is permissible per of SAE AS5877. 10 5.19 DISASSEMBLY AND INSPECTION SUMMARY The F145 and F145 J SAMPLE 1 and SAMPLE 2 were disassembled and inspected after the endurance test per paragraph of SAE AS5877 specification. The F145 and F145J SAMPLE 1 were disassembled and inspected after test procedure 5.8. The units showed no sign of significant wear or damage or loose parts that would damage an aircraft. The F145 and F145J Sample 1 units were reassembled and then proceeded with the Extended Operation Endurance test. After all tests were completed, all four nozzles were disassembled for final inspection. Wear is observed for the sample 1 nozzles, but no significant signs of wear that will prevent the nozzle from attaching to the fueling adapter to prevent its normal operation. The F145 and F145J Sample 2 nozzles were disassembled, there is no significant wear shown, there is salt accumulation in the nozzle due to the accelerated corrosion testing, but it does not effect the function of the nozzle. See Appendix B for pictures of disassembly. 6.0 DISCREPANCIES AND DEVIATION 6.1 Test Specification Garwood performed all testing per SAE AS5877 specification. All tests performed were later referenced to SAE AS5877 Revision A. There is no difference in test sequence and test requirements between specification AS5877, issue and AS5877 revision A, issue Strength Test The F145 SAMPLE 2 and F145J SAMPLE 2 nozzles performed the strength test prior to fuel resistance and extreme temperature test paragraph 5.12 and accelerated corrosion test paragraph Due to test scheduling, test setup and questions and concerns with the test fluid used in the extreme temperature cycle test in table 6 of AS5877, the strength test was decided to proceed prior to the fuel resistance and extreme temperature testing. Both nozzles passed the strength test per paragraph Drop Test For the drop test, the F145 SAMPLE1 and F145J SAMPLE1 nozzles were used to perform the test instead of the SAMPLE 2 nozzles. The drop test was performed after both SAMPLE 1 nozzles have performed and passed the burst pressure testing per paragraph Stork Garwood Laboratories stated in their test report in appendix A that the SAMPLE 2 were used during the drop test per paragraph 6.11 in the report, however, the data sheets shows that the SAMPLE 1 nozzle were used. Due to test scheduling, test setup and questions and concerns with the test fluid used in the extreme temperature cycle test in table 6 of AS5877, the SAMPLE 1 Nozzles were used to perform the drop test while the SAMPLE 2 nozzles were being setup for the extreme temperature test per table - 6 -

11 6 in AS5877. No seals were changed on the SAMPLE 1 nozzles and both SAMPLE 1 nozzles passed the drop test per paragraph Low Temperature Test For the low temperature test per Table 6 of SAE AS5877 specification, 2,2,4- Trimethylepentane was used for the test. In the last portion of the low temperature test, the test requires a 10 complete cycle testing. Meggitt interprets the cycle test to be performed per in AS5877 which uses commercial solvent. Hence, the test fluid used to perform the 10 cycle testing was PD680 Stoddard solvent. Meggitt intends to perform the low temperature cycle test using Trimethlypentane; however this test will be performed at a later date supported by a separate test report
