REASON To advise on new features and specifications to the 12 model year Evora range introduced during August production including higher specification variations, increased level of equipment, engine performance, suspension improvements and interior styling updates. IDENTIFICATION VIN character 7 indicates the engine specification. T = naturally aspirated (Manual or IPS). S = supercharged (Manual or S with IPS transmission). VIN character 10 identifies the model year: C indicates 2012 model year. ECU Engine Management Programs: Naturally Aspirated Manual and IPS Transmission = A132E0092. Supercharged Manual and IPS Transmission = A132E0096. TCU Transmission Control Unit Program: Naturally Aspirated IPS transmission = A132F0324. Supercharged with IPS transmission = A132F0223. ENGINE Induction The Evora S with IPS transmission uses the same Toyota 2GR-FE engine and 6 speed U660E automatic transmission unit as per the naturally aspirated model, but is now equipped with the same Harrop HTV1320 supercharger package and manifold adaptor as used in the manual supercharged versions. Both the S with IPS transmission and IPS Maximum continuous and transient engine speeds are now increased to 6,600 RPM and 6,800 RPM (non Sport mode) and raised to 7,000 RPM and 7,200 RPM in Sport mode, bringing them inline with the engine speeds of the manual transmission models. The Evora S with IPS transmission also requires the higher flow fuel injectors, uprated fuel pump and revised spark plugs as used on manual transmission supercharged model and using the same engine management program as the Evora S the net power output is increased to rpm with 400 Nm of 4500 rpm. The supercharger is driven via an increased length auxiliary drive belt with new bracket/idler assembly fitted to the engine to accommodate the revised configuration. As per the manual supercharged engine, the plenum/hose assembly within the induction system is not fitted as the supercharged engine is pressure charged whereas the naturally aspirated engine requires the intake plenum hose to act as a resonator. There are no engine revisions for 12MY naturally aspirated or supercharged manual transmission or naturally aspirated IPS transmission models.

2 Page 2 Exhaust A modified version of the exhaust silencer incorporating an exhaust silencer EP (Engine Protection) valve currently used on the 11MY Evora S will now be fitted to all 12MY vehicles as standard equipment regardless of the induction or transmission system fitted. The EP valve is controlled in both normal and sport mode as a function of engine speed and throttle pedal position, with different calibrations for each mode. When the vehicle is stationary the valve is closed in normal mode and open in sport mode. When the vehicle is moving the valve is predominately closed in normal mode and predominately open in sport mode. Exceptions to this are; -- In sport mode at low engine speeds and light throttles the valve is closed. -- In normal mode at full throttle the valve is open. For engine protection against high exhaust back pressure the valve is opened at engine speeds greater than 5500rpm and engine loads greater than 40 percent load irrespective of the selected mode. Please note: by depressing the sports button the operation parameters of the EP valve change, allowing it to be open more of the time. The sports button is predominantly intended for track use, utilising a sportier engine note and promoting a more enthusiastic driving experience. Exhaust silencers fitted to naturally aspirated models can be identified by their titanium or stainless steel twin tailpipe finishers. Supercharged models are fitted with a single ovular tailpipe finisher. Catalytic converters The main/under-floor catalytic converter is no longer fitted to non-federal vehicles but is replaced with a link pipe joining the exhaust downpipe to the silencer assembly. The removal of main catalytic converter reduces exhaust back pressure as well as enhancing engine noise characteristics. Cooling Engine cooling Oil cooling for both supercharged manual and IPS transmission vehicles has been rationalised with the fitment of only a single larger engine oil cooler mounted ahead of RH front wheel arch which feeds air from the outside of the vehicle via the intake and grille attached inset in the front bumper. Supercharged vehicles engine oil cooler circuit IPS transmission vehicle fluid cooler circuit sb135 Both the feed and return hoses are located to the RH side of the vehicle and connect into the same sandwich plate configuration located on the side of the engine block as the pre 12 model year supercharged vehicles.

3 Page 3 Transmission cooling Transmission fluid cooling for both supercharged and naturally aspirated IPS transmission vehicles has also been rationalised with the fitment of only a single larger transmission fluid oil cooler mounted ahead of LH front wheel arch. Air is fed from the outside of the vehicle via the intake and grille attached inset in the front bumper. Both the feed and return hoses are located to the LH side of the vehicle and connect into the same sandwich plate configuration mounted remotely to the rear bulkhead in the same manner as pre 12 model year IPS naturally aspirated vehicles. Brake and PAS (Power Assisted Steering) pipes fitted to the RH have been revised to allow for the fitment of an additional cooler hose and revised cooler arrangement. IPS transmission features The default return from manual gear selection back to automatic mode has increased from 10 to 20 seconds if a gear selection is not made using either paddle shifter (whilst in non sport mode). Neutral can also be selected from any gear by simultaneously pulling both steering wheel mounted paddle shifters towards the driver. Drive can also be selected from P, R or N by depressing the footbrake and pulling the + paddle shifter towards the driver. If vehicle road speed is over 1.2 mph (2km/h) the footbrake does not have to be depressed. Manual Transmission The standard ratio gearbox option is no longer available for naturally aspirated vehicles, and the sports ratio gearbox is now fitted as standard. Manual Transmission Oil Havoline Multigear MTF HD 75W-80 oil originally only supplied to the sports ratio gearbox when fitted to the Evora S has now been approved for all pre 12 model year manual model gearboxes. Body The body styling is unchanged with the following exceptions: Door mirror covers: All supercharged models will retain Phantom Black painted covers (Lotus code C123 Cromax Pro painting system) as standard. Exterior door handles: The chrome option has been deleted with only body coloured options available. Diffuser panel: The diffuser panel fitted to the Supercharged manual vehicle is also fitted to the S with IPS transmission option to accommodate distinctive diffuser finisher and tri-oval tailpipe silencer. Badges: The S logo will also be applied to the rear bumper on the S with IPS transmission option. Front bumper: To accommodate the rationalisation of the engine and transmission oil cooler arrangements, the side intake apertures on the front bumper are revised to accept new front grilles and inlet ducts. The grilles are now bolted to the bumper with the corresponding LH/RH ducts located behind them being closed off if an oil cooler is not required on that side.

4 Page 4 Rear lamp bezels: Supercharged vehicles will have black bezels, naturally aspirated vehicles will continue to use the existing chrome versions. Seats: New leather seat colours are available dependant on interior pack option selected (Base, Executive Premium or Sports Premium). Colour Ebony black Remarks Dependant on option pack selected seats are available with red stitching, red piping, carbon leather effect inserts and Suedetex option in slate grey. Base seat version is non-heated. Headliner, sunvisor, A and B pillar trims: A new colour (dark grey) introduced in addition to the current grey option, beige colour trim is deleted for 12 model year. Interior door release levers: The chrome finish is deleted and replaced with Turbo Black coloured levers for naturally aspirated vehicles or Piano Black coloured for supercharged vehicles. Homelink switch panel: Revision of button colour to match new headlining trim.

5 Page 5 Driver pedal pads: Existing pedal pad shape and styling is revised. Steering wheel: Re-profiled/contoured in shape. LHD footrest: All LHD models will have an additional metal footrest positioned on the LH cabin sill. Tread plates: Available as part of the premium pack option, the Lotus logo and union jack effect motif are embossed into aluminium tread plates which are inset into the sill trim panels. Naturally aspirated vehicles are fitted with aluminium brushed effect plates and supercharged vehicles supplied with dark brushed effect plates. Gear knob: Gear knob shape revised to improve ease of use. Dashboard and door air vent surrounds: Trimmed in leather as part of the premium pack. In Car Entertainment For specific markets Europe (except Cyprus), USA, Australia and Russia, the Alpine IVA-W520R 2 DIN Mobile Media Station is replaced with the Pioneer AVIC-930BT 2 DIN head unit. The Bluetooth, Navigation and enhanced acoustic capability is now incorporated within the Pioneer head unit. The separate modules (Bluetooth, Navigation, Navigation interface and Imprint) required for the Alpine 2 DIN head units are deleted for 12 Model year vehicles. The existing subwoofer/amplifier and 1 DIN Alpine unit are carried over. Interior (Supercharged models) Supercharged vehicles (Both manual and IPS transmission) are now fitted with either designated Gunmetal effect or black coloured trims as listed below regardless of option packs selected. Naturally aspirated vehicles retain the existing coloured or silver brightwork effect trims. Steering wheel finisher: Gunmetal (black) switch housing/finisher trim. Instrument cluster: Designated instrument cluster with a black surround. Speaker surrounds: Designated speaker covers with black surrounds. CDL button and escutcheon: Black coloured CDL buttons and escutcheons. LH & RH Dashboard switch panels: Finished in Gunmetal black. Centre console HVAC panel trim: Finished in Gunmetal black. PRND panel: Supercharged vehicles will continue to use the 11MY IPS black coloured panel. 12 model year naturally aspirated IPS vehicles will use a new Turbo Black coloured panel. Brakes Discs: Cross drilled brake discs fitted to all supercharged models as standard equipment. Callipers: Red painted calipers replace the black coloured option and are fitted as standard to all supercharged vehicles or included in the Sports Pack option for naturally aspirated vehicles. Bare metal callipers are fitted as standard to naturally aspirated vehicles.

6 Page 6 Suspension Wishbones and rear anti-roll bars: 12 model year IPS and S with IPS transmission vehicles are now fitted with the S type wishbones incorporating the uprated inner pivot bushes as well as the larger diameter rear anti-roll bar. This will also be implemented as a production running change to naturally aspirated manual vehicles at a later date. Wheels/tyres Optional Wheels: New Front 19 Rear 20 Forged wheels are available in both Gloss Black and Stealth Grey which are based on the 19 /20 alloy Diamond Cut designs launched with the Evora S but without the machined faces which are now deleted. Maintenance The Service schedule and frequency for all production 12 model year vehicles remains the same as previous models as listed in the maintenance schedule part number LSL537d available for download from the Dealer Document Portal.
