3 1. Product capability list Products certified for civil aviation use are listed in the company SADD Register which is stored as a digital database (previously recorded in Table 1 of CE3). Statements of Approved Design Data (SADD) for these products are on file with Weston Aerospace Engineering Department. These products may be released to service by Weston Aerospace on EASA Form 1 as new products under EASA Part 21 Subpart G. Products listed in Table 2 form part of our EASA Part 145 and FAR-145 scope of approval and may be released following maintenance on EASA Form 1. Products are listed as families and refer to existing models and also to models no longer in manufacture. In addition to products listed here, some civil aviation type certificate holders issue SADD s relating to a specific purchase order only. Products covered by these purchase orders may be released to service by Weston Aerospace on EASA Form 1 as new products under EASA Part 21 Subpart G. 2. Management of the Product Capability List The Product Capability List will be amended when a product has to be added to, changed or removed from the list. The Product Capability List will be re-issued at 6 month intervals if changes are required. Engineering Managers are responsible for approving amendments to the Product Capability List. The product capability list is added to the company ERP system for use in generation of the EASA Form 1. Changes to product capability which occur between issues of the Product Capability List will be formally notified to approved release signatories by the Quality Director. The notification for civil aviation products will be a copy of the product SADD. These additional or amended products may be released on the basis of this authority until the next re-issue of the Product Capability List. Whenever the product Capability list is updated and re-issued, the Product Test Manager will evaluate the change to determine that the MRO has adequate workshop space, equipment, processes and trained personnel and has access to the materials and maintenance data required. 2.1 Civil Aviation Products: EASA Part 21 release Products will be added to the capability list following satisfactory completion of type testing of the engine or aircraft and receipt of an SADD from the type certificate holder, approving Weston Aerospace as the manufacturer of the product. The SADD Register will be amended when an SADD is amended, replaced or revoked by the type certificate holder. 2.2 Civil Aerospace Products: EASA Part 145/FAR-145 release Products will be added to Table 2 at the same time and on the same basis as addition to Table 1 (see 2.1). Table 2 will be amended when all models of a product are withdrawn from service and maintenance by Weston Aerospace is no longer required Weston Aerospace Page 3 of 8
