2 Armetal was established in 1960 in Rocca San Casciano, just 30 km from Forlì. Since then, the company has developed and grown constantly thanks to the commitment and passion for work of two generations of the Pazzi family who turned it into a market-leading manufacturer of convertible mechanisms for the sofa-bed and bed frame industry. Today the company extends over 40,000 sqm, including a 14,000 sqm indoor area, where the entire production process is carried out, from the concept to the finished product, thanks to its great experience and cutting-edge equipment. In 2007 Armetal founded Armetalflex, a firm manufacturing mattresses to be combined with its mechanisms, offering its customers a wide range, both in the spring type and in the polyurethane foam one to guarantee an even better service. The secret of Armetal s success is understanding both the market and customers requirements to provide an efficient, high quality and competitive service, offering top rate products with the support and availability of a highly trained staff. 3

3 Cutting State-of-the-art, numerical control, cutting-off machines guarantee a steady millimetre accuracy to all metal tubular components. Workbench drilling This drilling machine makes high precision holes simultaneously on the perimeter tubular sections of the mechanisms. Moulding Only first-rate metal sheets, with the maximum tolerance of a tenth of a millimetre, are used. They are worked in mechanical presses using, for each component, special step moulds fed by centesimal accuracy numerical control unwinding and straightening devices. Painting A 1,500 sqm surface houses: the phosphate degreasing tunnel, the drying kiln and a modern computerised painting booth where epoxy powder is released by 14 numerical control dispensers that guarantee an even painting on every part of the mechanism. Welding Computerised robots work in a more than 200 sqm welding station, on special workbenches, performing high precision welding operations. Deliveries Armetal delivers most of its products directly through its own trucks and highly qualified personnel. Armetal relies on international couriers for deliveries abroad. 4 5

14 Instructions for OPENING Tornado 1 : Seize the handle as shown in detail E, placing your hand in the middle, under the cushions. Tornado / Tornado AIR : MATTRESS density : Note: In the models with a cushion-holding frame, firstly lift the cushion surface, as shown in Fig. 2, then grab the handle as shown in detail E. Using the handle, lift the mechanism by about 20 cm, then pull it until the first front foot rests on the ground. Tornado/Tornado AIR 190 polyurethane mattress: D. 25, 13 cm high, cover in Quilted Cotton density 30 3 : Lift and turn the second front foot F, grabbing it as shown in detail F until it rests on the ground. 13 Instructions for CLOSING Tornado 4 : In order to close the mechanism, lift it starting from point A and, at the same time, apply pressure on point B until a 180 rotation is completed. 21 Instructions for OPENING Grecale de Luxe 1 / 2: Lift the mechanism in the direction indicated by the arrow, grabbing the backrest and causing it to rotate by 90 as shown by the arrow. 3 : Grab the end part of the bed and bring it closer to the floor with a simple rotation as shown by the arrows. 4 : The sofa in the bed position. Instructions for CLOSING Grecale de Luxe 5 : In the first closing phase, lift part B of the mechanism and rotate it by about 90, applying pressure on point A. 6 : Exert pressure on the backrest and rotate it in the direction shown by the arrows. 7 : Lastly, apply pressure on the backrest.
