MINI Trackstar is a small covert electronic device installed in your vehicle which utilises state of the art technology such as GPS (Global Positioning Satellite), GSM (Global Systems for Mobile Communications) and an integrated motion detector in order to accurately locate your vehicle, should it be stolen. Therefore, either when you report a theft or the Control Centre contact you to advise you of a possible illegal movement, the unit is activated and tracking will commence. MINI Trackstar attracts full Thatcham Quality Accreditation (CAT 6). MINI TRACKSTAR PRODUCTS. MINI Trackstar provides: Protection against illegal movement of the vehicle, via its unique motion sensor detector. Full battery back-up, which ensures that your vehicle is protected in the event of the battery being disconnected. The system automatically arms when the ignition is switched off. This means if your vehicle is moved illegally, your in-vehicle unit will immediately alert the Control Centre and provide the exact location of the vehicle. You will then be contacted to confirm that your vehicle has been stolen. The Control Centre will then contact the Police and continually track your vehicle which will then be returned to you once your vehicle has been recovered. Insurance Approved. MINI Trackstar is an insurance approved security product, so you may be entitled to an insurance discount. MINI Trackstar Cat 6 Advance 3. The latest product in the range is Trackstar Advance, which uses a clever electronic key tag to provide an advanced level of theft prevention. With MINI Trackstar Advance, a key tag is needed as well as your usual car key. This connects to the in-car system and recognises you as the owner of the car, otherwise your MINI will refuse to start. MINI Trackstar Advance attracts full Thatcham Cat 6 Accreditation. MINI Trackstar 5 3. The MINI Trackstar 5 unit operates in the same way as the MINI Trackstar unit but incorporates the added benefit of a Driver Authentication Device. If the Driver Authentication Device is present the MINI Trackstar 5 unit can detect that the person driving the vehicle is authorised to do so, therefore in the event of a theft where the thief does not have the Driver Authentication Device, the Control Centre is alerted. MINI Trackstar 5 attracts full Thatcham Category 5 Accreditation. MINI Trackstar On-Demand 3. MINI Trackstar On-Demand is a web based technology enabling you to track your vehicle, view recent journeys and run business / private mileage reports.
