HEAT MINIMUM OF FOUR VEHICLES OR HEAT WILL BE CANCELLED REGISTRATION AND FEES: Registration is between 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM July 23, Drivers meeting at 5:30 PM. -If not inspected by 5:30 PM, you will not be allowed to run. 1. Registration fees for all classes except Smash and Crash: $40 advance (postmarked by July 10, 2017 or dropped off at the Fairgrounds by Friday night, July 21 st 2017) or $55 at the gate. Driver and one [1] pit person included with registration. Additional $5.00 fee added for any vehicles arriving after 5:00 PM for registration. 2. Additional pit passes are $25 each. Pit passes are required for all individuals in the pit area. 3. You will be required to provide your social security number on the registration form. This is required for payment of winnings year olds must be registered with both parents signatures to drive in the demo derby or have a pit pass. If both parents are not present for registration, a notarized signature for the absent parent is required. 5. Pre-entries have priority. We reserve the right to limit the number of entries. 6. No fee is to be refunded. ALL VEHICLES MUST COMPLETE REGISTRATION BEFORE INSPECTION CAN OCCUR. DRIVERS ONLY AT INSPECTION. NO EXCEPTIONS GENERAL FAIR DEMO RULES NO DRINKING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER THE DERBY, SUBJECT TO ARREST AND DISQUALIFICATION. THIS WILL BE ENFORCED! 1. You can only run the class you register for. No jumping classes. 2. ALL DRIVERS OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER S LICENSE. All drivers 1 P a g e

2 under 18 years of age must have valid photo ID and both parents signatures. 3. All cars enter through the Southeast gate, off Orono Parkway 4. All cars must be removed off of the fairgrounds the night of the derby 5. No profanity will be written on car, subject to disqualification. 6. DO NOT PUT NUMBERS ON THE CAR. A number will be provided to you based on class. The provided number will also be painted on the roof. Pre-numbered roof signs must be removed or the covered. 7. Driver s door MUST be painted white (a number will be painted in high contrast paint for you). There will be a $5.00 paint fee if your door is not painted white and your door will be painted for you. This will be enforced at registration. 8. Inspection done OFF trailer. Registration must be completed prior. NO EXCEPTIONS! 9. Brakes must be in working order. 10. All glass, mirrors, trailer hitches and chrome must be removed. 11. Sliders are allowed in all classes except youth class. 12. All gas tanks must be steel or factory plastic gas tanks, and can have no more than 6 gallons of gas at any time, and must be covered and strapped in the back seat, (steel strapping or chains no bungee cords on gas tank or battery). Hoses and battery cables must go through the fire wall. 13. Batteries covered and strapped in the passenger seat area. Floor mats may be used. 14. NO WELDERS ON GROUND. PROCEDURE RULES 1. All drivers are required to wear seat belts, a safety helmet and eye protection. Neck protection is recommended. 2. One fire: you start again. Second fire: you are disqualified. 3. All cars must make aggressive/legal hits within two [2] minutes or they will be timed out-determined by the official timers. 4. Cars must continue to crash. NO AVOIDING. NO INTENTIONAL HOLDING OR TAG-TEAMING. NO SANDBAGGING. 5. All cars displaying an orange stick are open for crashing. No intentional crashing of the driver s door, subject to DISQUALIFICATION. 6. All cars remain in the designated areas. Mechanical work done on car in pit area only. 7. NO RIDERS UP TO THE ARENA! NO RIDING ON CARS AT ANY TIME! Drivers must remain inside [full body] car during derby and when being towed, except for fires. 8. Any protest or challenge of any car being illegal, $300 cash to judge. If car is illegal, cash goes back to protester. If the car is legal, the driver of the protested car gets the cash. Only a driver from the same class can protest or challenge the legality of a car. 9. Judges to make all decisions, rules and regulations- subject to change without notice. All decisions final. 10. APPLIES TO ALL CLASSES EXCEPT YOUTH: Forklift tires, Skid loader tires & Bobcat tires are allowed on drive & steering. Full center rims are allowed. NO STEEL BEAD LOCKERS. BEST PAINT JOB CONTEST OPEN TO ALL DEMO CONTESTANT VEHICLES VEHICLE MUST DRIVE IN THE DERBY WINNING ENTRY RECEIVES $300 *If you win best paint job, you must run in demo class* CAR RULES FULL SIZE/COMPACTS ***We are not accepting entries for Imperials 1973 and older, Lincolns 1970 and older, Crown Vics 2003 and newer El Dorados, Toronados, Rancheros, El Caminos, and Ambulances. 1. All cars must be standard make with NO REINFORCEMENTS OR ALTERATIONS TO THE FRAME. Frames may be seam welded from firewall forward ½ only. Frames may be repaired on pre-ran cars 20 inches max. (Must be visible bend) NO CEMENT ANYWHERE. NO SELF - TAPPING SCREWS. NO DISTRIBUTOR PROTECTERS or TRANSMISSION PROTECTORS! COLD BENDING FRAME IS ALLOWED! 2. RADIATORS / BODY: may or may not have body mounts, max. 3 washer. Max. 1 bolt [factory positions only] Engine mounts may be welded to the frame. Only stock radiators must be used and in its original position. No steel made radiators. Radiator protector up to ¼ inch thick not to exceed 2 inches past radiator. Tin mount only. Maximum of 6 bolts in front of core support, maximum ½ inch bolts. 3. REAR END/SUSPENSION: Any 5 lug factory rear end may be used. Rear end bracing allowed. Axles may be chained to the frame using one chain on each side no larger than 3/8 chain. A-frames may be welded. No coil to 2 P a g e

3 leaf conversions allowed and no additional leafs may be added. 4. DOORS: Driver s door MUST be painted white, NO EXCEPTIONS. Doors must be chained using a max. of 3/8 chain, or welded using a max. of 1/8 x 3 x 3 plates at least 5 apart. You may reinforce the driver s door only and use window screening to protect the driver (#9 wire may be used in window openings, 4 spots max!). Driver s compartment may be cross-braced only with 2 min. to 3 max. bracing. A vertical roll bar may be welded to the floor or frame no more than 10 behind the driver seat. It must be vertical with no kickers, no other bars off dash bars or side bars anywhere in vehicle. The roll bar may be 2 min. to 3 max. May have rear window bar 2 max. sheet metal to sheet metal 4 max on roof 4 max on trunk. 5. HOODS/TRUNKS: Hood and trunk may be chained, bolted, or cabled. Please USE ONE ONLY! ALL hoods and trunks WILL be opened for inspection. A LIMIT of 6 spots on the hood and trunk may be bolted down. 4 may be bolted to the frame and 2 may be sheet metal to sheet metal. 4 inch long angle iron may be used fender to hood. Bolting must be through angle iron. 1 inch threaded rod. All hoods MUST have a 12 x 12 hole cut in the hood in case of fire. Twelve 3/8 bolts (max) may be used to hold sheet metal to sheet metal only on the hood. This is not included in the 6 spot hood tie-down limit. 6. No Stuffed Bumpers: Factory bumpers may be bolted or welded on using OEM brackets or ¼ flat plate, not exceeding height of frame and no longer than 12. No additional material. No bumper guards. Fenders may be rolled and re-bolted with 3/8 bolts---5 bolts ONLY 7. Compacts must run factory motors; i.e.: 4 cylinders or 6 cylinders. Eight (8) cylinders only in Chevrolet Monza s or Ford Mustangs that came with the V-8. No setting back or relocating motor. 8. Pre-ran cars will be allowed 20 of frame repair total on car. Repair cannot be more than the width and thickness of the rail, stitch welded only. Must show proof of bend, repair patch 1 past bend only. No reinforcements or extensions. 11. Motor may be strapped down on all 4 corners with 2" x 1/4" flat stock or chain welded to top side of frame only. 12. Driver s window protection allowed, i.e. net. 13. Two window bars allowed, running from top of window to the absolute front most part of the trunk. Cannot touch the trunk. Up to 2 x 2 x 1/4 inch thick. Same for front window. CHAIN CLASS Hood, Doors, and Trunk Chained Rest of rules located under Car Rules Full size/compacts MOD CLASS Any mass produced 2-wheel drive cars, including: Imperials, Lincolns and 03 & newer Crown Victoria. 1. Doors, trunks & hoods may be welded solid (4inch wide by 1/8 inch thick max), but must be able to see into the trunk through rear seat hole. No exceptions. 2. Wheel wells can be cut & rolled & welded. 3. Body lines may be pounded &trunk lids may be cut & tucked. 4. Intermarriage of motors & transmissions allowed. 5. Homemade vented radiators are allowed. MUST BE VENTED UNDER CAR. 6. Use any rear end of your choosing up to ¾ ton. Leafs can be clamped up to 8 per side. (can convert coil to leaf suspension) 9 leaf springs max per side. 7. Seam welding on frame and body allowed. 8. Sliders or telescopic drive shafts allowed. 9. Steering arms may be modified by using steel knuckles. Reinforced tie rod ends are allowed. Can interchange front spindles. 10. From cross member forward, whatever kind of frame plating and/or bumper brackets you want is allowed. NO STUFFING OF FRAME. Cross member may be welded solid, may use steel pipe to make cross member, may use up to 2x4 in. square tubing max. (not solid stock). 11. Any factory, after market, or homemade bumper is allowed. May be loaded. NO EXCESIVE POINTS ON HOMEMADE BUMPERS. If you decide to manufacture a homemade bumper it must conform to the following size limits: It can be no larger than 8 x8. The point must taper over an area of at LEAST 32. Overall the bumper cannot exceed 12 wide at the tip of the point. The point may only extend out 4 past the flat part of the bumper. The bumper must be completely in front of the frame rails. No part of the bumper may extend back past the furthest forward most point of the frame. Any factory automotive bumper bracket is allowed or a 4 wide flat strap to front part of the A arm bracket with a 3/8 thick flat stock. (judge s discretion) 12. Driver s compartment can have as many down bars welded to the frame as wanted. (No size limit on bracing, this is for driver s safety). Gas tank protectors allowed just so long as not touching rear seat deck. Unless previously ran car. (No angling of pipe vertical only). 3 P a g e

4 13. Halo for roll cage can be welded to frame. Kickers are allowed from roll-bar to gas tank protector. 14. Body mount bolts may be removed and replaced with up to 1 inch rod & 4 inch plate top and bottom. 1 extra set of bolts allowed on each side. 15. Rear hump plating allowed. Either plated or square tubing not solid stock. 16. The following protectors will be allowed: Distributer, transmission, full engine cradle with pulley protector, nerot (Steel) bells with steel tail shaft 17. Bending or tilting of frame allowed. 18. Rear shocks may be removed and replaced with homemade shocks, and may chain rear end 1 loop per side. (Judge s discretion). 19. NO SKID PLATES, NO STUFFING OF FRAMES (ONLY PLATING AS SPECIFIED). NO PLATING OF BODY PANELS. 20. Angle iron allowed on core support 2x2x1/4 max 21. Kickers are allowed (1 per side) from core support to frame in front of A-arms (2x2x1/4 max). Dash bar may be ran through firewall. 22. Hoods may be bolted shut using eight 1 bolts max and bolts may be welded to frame. 23. Bumper height in front, 21-inch max from bottom of bumper. 24. A steel plate (1/4 inch thickness) can be welded in front of radiator on core support for radiator protection. 25. Steel bead protectors are allowed on tires. MIGHTY MINI S 1. Any mass produced Mini Vans, S-10, Rangers, S-10 Blazers, Bronco 2 s, Jeep Cherokees (84 or newer), 2 or 4 wheel drive (front drive shaft removed) must run stock. ¼ ton rated max. 2. Front and rear bumper height must be 21 or less from the bottom of the bumper to the ground. 3. Front suspension may be welded to get height. 4. Welding tailgate at quarter panels allowed. 5. Cabs must be secured to frame, cab may be bolted together with box, eight ¾ inch bolts max. 6. Intermarriage of motors and transmissions allowed in stock only position only. 7. Must have steel or factory plastic gas tank. 8. Doors must be strapped, welded, chained, cabled/wired, ONLY 1 OPTION CAN BE USED. No door may have more than a total of 3 feet of welded straps on each door, except driver s door. 9. Hood may be fastened with 6 bolts up to 1 with a maximum of 4 bolts to the frame. 4 square washers only can be used extra body bolts are allowed up to 1 in box floor 4 x 4 x ½ washers x 2 x ¼ angle iron no longer than 5 can be placed in 4 spots inside the box. 12. Dash bar kickers must be behind the firewall and down to the frame and may be welded. 13. Stock radiators only. 14. No C Channel welded inside frame rails under cab or box allowed. 15. Any ply 15 or less DOT tires allowed. May have tubes or tire in tire. 16. Leaf clamps - 6 per pack including stock. 17. Halo can t go past the front shackles with NO kickers. Tin mounted only. YOUTH CLASS RULES 2017 READ CAREFULLY! ANY QUESTION PLEASE ASK! HAVE FUN!! 1. Drivers must be between years of age with parents signing waiver for them to run. This class will only have the youth in the car driving! 2. Any mass produced 2 wheel drive or front wheel drive GM 1977 and newer, Ford 1980 and newer, Mopar 1980 and newer, and newer (small body style only) wagons allowed. 3. All glass, plastic, rubber, fiberglass, trim, white metal must be removed as it states in General Rules. 4. Things YOU MAY WELD. Drivers door may be welded solid A frames or front struts may be welded with up to 6 added material per side (only). Front and rear factory bumpers may be welded on (with no additional material). Rear end may be welded for posi traction factor. Motor mounts may be welded or chained down in two spots. Tranny may be chained. You must have a 4 point cage welded in your car (No exceptions), you may have 4 down bars welded to the frame to help hold in place. Halo is optional if you have one, it may be welded to the frame and roof of car. (This is for driver s protection). 4 P a g e

5 5. Tire in tires is allowed. You may run tubes and weld stem protectors on. The only tires allowed are DOT tires --mud & snow, radial, or bias, if questionable please call! 6. All other doors will be chained with 2 chains per seam. 7. Hoods & trunks may use 6 chains for each. 8. Floor shifter optional. Headers optional. Push button & toggle switches are optional. 9. Absolutely no pre bending of body or frame. No frame repairs for this class. 10. Absolutely no cutting of bumpers and wheel wells. 11. No interchange of motors. (GM to GM, Ford to Ford, and Mopar to Mopar only). 12. You may cut a hole for the distributor, size your call. 13. Must have a minimum of 12 hole cut in hood. 14.
