Set of 3 This set of legendary De Havilland Tiger Moths comprises three authentic aircraft that made a historic flight from England to Russia and back in April 1989, marking a step forward in Anglo-Russian relations. The British pilots of the three planes were each accompanied by a Russian navigator and they made the trip in the true spirit and style of the 1930s. The detailed planning and international co-ordination took much effort and the trip, organised by Jonathan Elwes and sponsored by the Daily Mail and James Capel & Co., was not without incident. The full story is featured on the inside of the boxed set lid and makes fascinating reading. The title Glasmoth was a combination of the Russian word Glasnost and Tiger Moth. N6848 is the plane flown by Roger Fiennes with navigator Andrei Izmailov and decorated in camouflage with yellow underside with RAF roundels on the wings. The sponsors graphics feature on the tail and on the sides just behind the cockpit. The cockpit is a matt dull green and added detail includes matt yellow wheel hubs printed with the initials DH and highly intricate bi-plane rigging. G-ANOH is as flown by Nick Parkhouse and navigator Sasha Zaitzev. This second plane comes with a bright red fuselage and off white wings, all offset with silver masking. The sponsors names also feature on the sides and the tail and the wheel hubs feature the De Havilland logo. G-ANRN was piloted by Jonathan Elwes with navigator Anatoly Gorbatov and is decorated in blue with silver undersides. The lettering G-ANRN appears along the sides in white and on the under wings in blue. This version also carries the sponsorship details in black on white and has the DH wheel hubs in blue on black. The three aircraft are presented in a special celebratory sleeve. The result is a colourful and totally authentic representation of a moment in East-West relations, at the same time demonstrating the resilience of the Tiger Moth.

Registered E7 ENT, the back doors carry the wording Horses also written in German and French, indicating perhaps it is used for international transport of our equine friends. the model also features a representation of the Union Jack Flag on the roof and cab, behind which is mounted a light bar finished in orange tint with silver centre sections. Additional detail includes the free phone number on the window of the cab behind the driver. Look out too, for the tiny image of the aircraft to the right of the Ridgway Rentals logo on the low loader. CMP 1st Canadian Inf Div Italy 1944 The Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) truck was made in Canada during WWII in large numbers to British Army specifications for use by British Commonwealth allies.

3 CMP 1st Canadian Inf Div Italy 1944 The Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) truck was made in Canada during WWII in large numbers to British Army specifications for use by British Commonwealth allies. They were also sent as part of the Canadian Lease-Lend arrangement with Britain for service in the Soviet Union after the Nazi invasion of Russia. The conflict saw CMP trucks in many theatres of war including the European campaigns, North Africa, the Burma campaign and many others. Post WWII, the CMP were also used in conflicts in Indonesia, French Indo-China and the Portuguese colonies in Africa. The newly tooled Oxford replica is as used by the 1st Canadian Infantry Division during the Italian Campaign in Decorated in black and a dark sandy drab camouflage scheme, the model features a canvas back with replica rope ties along the sides. Note the canvas panels on the side windows too. Artwork includes the RAF roundel with yellow outer circle on the cab roof, authentic military numbering and lettering and the Canadian Maple leaf in red out of yellow on the cab and rear of the vehicle. Dark brown chassis, black radiator grille and a white rear axle transmission cover complete the high level of detail on this addition to the Oxford Military series. military CMP 1st Canadian Inf Div Italy CMP001 1: Tooling! Austin Tilly - Light AA Brigade, RA Malta 1942 The fourth release on this WWII utility vehicle, nicknamed the Austin Tilly as a result, is decorated in an unusual desert style camouflage colour scheme, with the beige being repeated in the wheel hubs. The slightly lighter sand coloured canvas back incorporates the interesting detail of double rolled down canvas flaps on the sides, as well as a rolled up rear canvas back. The Maltese Cross is emblazoned proudly on the front wing in blue and yellow with the other authentic military markings on the front, sides and rear of the truck. 4 Scammell Showtrac - Anderton & Rowland (Dragon) Brand new to the Oxford series of Showman models comes the Scammell Showtrac, which in real life was one of a very small number of vehicles designed specifically for use in the fairground Tooling! environment. It was a short wheel base 4 x 2 ballast tractor and could be supplied with a rear body with half height roller shutter access doors, winch, dynamo and ballast block underneath. Built between 1945 and 1948, of the eighteen manufactured to various individual specifications, amazingly seventeen have survived into preservation, their authenticity guaranteed by the trademark Showtrac badge on the radiator and manufactured with a full width cab. Anderton & Rowland are one of the most famous Showman families in the UK, originating in the West Country. Dragon registered DCO 265 with number 6209, was bought by the family in Plymouth in 1946 and is still owned by the Anderton & Rowland Fun Fair. Enthusiasts can see it at the Dingles Steam Museum in Lifton, Devon, where it is on loan. NCT002 1: Bedford Pantechnicon - Pickfords The newly tooled N gauge Oxford version of the Bedford Luton Van just had to have a Pickfords livery at some stage and here it is in their trademark dark blue and white colour scheme with red wheels and white roof. The livery is an all-time favourite with collectors as well as being arguably the best known in the history of removals and storage. This livery also denotes the link with British Road Services on the sides, as well as advertising their New Furniture Carriage Bedford Pantechnicon - Service with branches everywhere. Pickfords The van is registered HYR 392 and also carries the fleet number M4985 NBP002 1: on the roof extension over the cab. Ferguson Tractor - Red Already in the 1:76 scale range of Oxford models, the second release on our Fergie in 1:148 scale comes in a bright red with grey finish, which will complement the all-over grey of the first model released recently. 8 1:72 AviAtioN DH Mosquito FBIV AC036 1: DH Dragon Rapide - GAHKV, AA 72DR004 1: DH Dragon Rapide - GAHKV, AA The De Havilland Dragon Rapide was a highly successful passenger bi-plane originally introduced in the mid 1930s. This unusual version of the Rapide is as used by the Automobile Association in the late 1950s and is decorated in their signature yellow and black livery. Yellow on the upper side and gloss black on the underside, the contrasting AA insignia, which also appear on the tail fin, feature on both the upper and under wings in contrasting black on yellow and vice versa. This model will be of natural interest both to Oxford s aviation collectors and also those enthusiasts who specialise in AA vehicles in general. De Havilland Mosquito FBIV The De Havilland Mosquito was a British built multirole combat aircraft used as a fast bomber, night fighter, fighter-bomber, maritime strike aircraft and photoreconnaissance plane during WWII. During the conflict it was used by several Allied air forces and it is the Canadian Air Force Fighter Bomber version, LR347, as flown by Flt Lt Stanley Nunn and Flg. Off. J Carlin of 248 Banff Strike Wing on 10th June 1944 that is the subject of our Oxford 1:72 scale model. On that day, 248 Squadron were engaged in an intense air attack on German U-boat 821 which was subsequently sunk by a Liberator from No. 206 Squadron. Decorated in dark grey with light grey contrasting paintwork and duck egg green underside, note the RAF roundel with yellow outer circle on the fuselage as used by the RAF bombers at that time and the red, white and blue RAF markings on the tail. The guns/propeller blades/tyres and air intakes are painted black, while the realistic exhaust is painted a rusty brown. This model of the beloved and often unsung Mossie deserves a place on your WWII airfield. Fiat G55 The Fiat G55 was a single-seater Italian fighter plane designed by Giuseppe Gabrielli, which took its first flight in April 1942 and was introduced to the Italian Air Force (Regia Aeronautica) in Only around 300 were built both during and after WWII of this powerful, robust and fast interceptor. The new Oxford model of the G55 is as flown by Capitano Giovanni Bonet of Squadrilia Complementaire Montefusco, ANR, Venera Reale in Painted with a dark green upper side, grey underside and Italian green, orange and white insignia, an interesting detail is the reproduction of the Pitot tubes (pressure measuring instruments) on the wings.
