1 GA PREPAID EXCESS BAGGAGE A. Definition of Prepaid Excess Baggage Prepaid Excess Baggage is a pre-journey facility provided to passengers who wish to purchase discounted Excess Baggage for their flight more than 24 Hours prior to departure. Note: Normal Excess Baggage rates (See GA Baggage Rules tariff) apply at Airport Check-In on the day of departure unless booked as Prepaid Excess Baggage more than 24 Hours prior to departure. Prepaid Excess Baggage items remain subject to size and weight limitations as ruled in GA Baggage Rules Tariff. Prepaid Excess Baggage remains subject to GA s Conditions of Carriage and Baggage Requirements. Passengers are required to comply with Garuda Indonesia restrictions on prohibited and unacceptable items. B. Rules Prepaid Excess Baggage rates are available in 8 (eight) packages of: 5 KG s, 10 KG s, 15 KG s, 20 KG s, 25 KG s, 30 KG s, *35 KG s, and *40 KG s. (Each Baggage item must not exceed 32Kg s) -One package Per passenger, per sector is allowed only. -Prepaid Excess Baggage is only available on GA Ticket Stock (126) and Operating Flights Domestic and International. In case of transit/connecting flights, Prepaid Excess Baggage must be issued for all sectors. For example : - Routes : CGK-X/DPS-TIM Prepaid Excess Baggage must be applied for all sectors (CGK-X/DPS-TIM); Eg. CGK-TIM 5Kg s = IDR 342,100. Prepaid Excess Baggage is not allowed for CGK-DPS only or DPS-TIM only. Prepaid Excess Baggage may be purchased for adults and children only. Prepaid Excess Baggage only can be sold more than 24 hours prior to departure. C. Rates D. Sales Garuda Indonesia reserves the right to amend Prepaid Excess Baggage rates for certain periods and to change the rates, terms and conditions of the Prepaid Excess Baggage facility at any time prior to purchase with or without notice. For domestic routes, VAT 10% will apply. AGENT TARIFF ADVICE GA1728/03MAR2017 replaces GA16107/20DEC2016 Prepaid Excess Baggage service can be requested and purchased through City Ticketing Office (CTO), GA Reservations Department , (reservations@garuda-indonesia.net.au), and Airport Ticketing Offices (ATO), Garuda Indonesia Website and Mobile Apps Up until 24 hours prior to flight departure. E. Changes and Refunds 1. For Voluntary refund : - Refund applies for totally unused Prepaid Excess Baggage only. - 25% penalty applies to any refund. - No refund for partially used Prepaid Baggage. eg. 5Kg s Prepaid Excess Baggage purchased 24 Hours prior to departure. 2 - In case of voluntary flight cancellation, refund application for unused Prepaid Excess Baggage must be submitted up to 7 (seven) days from the date of cancelled departure. - In case of voluntary reroute, if the new Prepaid Excess Baggage rate is lower than original rate, no residual value will be refunded. - In case of voluntary reroute, if the new Prepaid Excess Baggage rate is higher than original rate, additional charges will apply. D. Timelimit - No penalty fees apply in case of voluntary reroute or reissue. 2. For Involuntary refund : *Involuntary refund for Prepaid Excess Baggage applies in the following circumstances : a) Flight cancelation e) Offloading b) Flight schedule change f) Misconnection c) Failed on re-accommodating g) Safety or legal reason d) Over or under carriage h) Force majeure *Subject to GA approval. - No penalty fees apply in case of involuntary refund. Refund of Prepaid Excess Baggage can be processed with the GA City Ticketing office (CTO), GA Reservations Department and Airport (ATO) office. EMD Excess Baggage should be issued no later than 24hrs before departure. If the SSR XBAG (Prepaid baggage service) is reserved on or under 24 hours before departure, the status of the service will be and can not be issued.
