Foil Winding Machine The machine is designed to wind LV coils for transformer. It can handle one or two strips, and two rolls of insulation paper with guiding / tensioning for each.

1 Foil Winding Machine The machine is designed to wind LV coils for transformer. It can handle one or two strips, and two rolls of insulation paper with guiding / tensioning for each. Description UPI offers three models of foil winding machines: the USS, USD and UF(x). We also offer customer- tailored models. The USS model is one conductor foil winding machine while the USD is two foils winding machine. When winding, conductor strips and insulation paper are automatically arranged by the sensor and the hydraulic device. The machine is also equipped with an automatic TIG device to weld conductor and lead. The machine has an automatic electronic Foil & Strip layering system for low voltage of Distribution Transformer. The machine provides variable speed that was controlled by frequence converter. This model is very fast for manufacturing transformer low voltage coil section. Features Programmable controls with touch screen monitor Conduction strip un- coiler Allows the quick set up of coil on expanding mandrel with hydraulic system. Insulation paper un- coiler Allows the quick set up of a insulation on expanding mandrel with air expanded shafts. Tension The powder brake maintains suitable tension on the foil & Insulation paper. Alignment The foil is kept performance aligned with a beam edge position controller resulting that the system is simple, effective to provide consistent edge.
