5 Improved risk management Intelligent Profiling System On descent, the knee-break stays raised until the backrest is semi-flat (1). Both the backrest and knee-break then descend together until they reach a flat position simultaneously (2). This is unique on other beds the knee-break descends regardless of backrest angle, which can result in the client sliding down the bed. The intelligent profiling on the Enterprise 3000 bed maximises comfort and reduces pressure, shear and friction. This helps to reduce the risk of pressure ulcers. Pro-Contour Advance Profiling Enhanced Safety Conventional Beds Enterprise 3000 bed Pivot points Movements unique to Enterprise 3000 bed Compared to a conventional profiling bed (A), the Pro-Contour Advance Profiling on the Enterprise 3000 bed raises the pivot point of the backrest and thigh section closer to the client s natural pivot point (their hip joint) (B). It mimics the way a person s tissues stretch as they move from lying to sitting and reduces compression on the mattress surface at the seat section.
