1 Warranty 1. If any product or part of a product manufactured by TJM is found to be defective during a period of three (3) years after the date of purchase, TJM shall repair (at TJM s discretion) the defective product or part. 2. Any defect in a product distributed by TJM, but not manufactured by TJM, shall be dealt with in accordance with, and to the extent of, the warranty offered by the manufacturer of that product. 3. TJM does not warranty that the products manufactured by it comply with the laws of the place where those product are purchased or used. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to ascertain whether products being purchased, or the affixation of those products to any other object, comply with local laws. 4. Except to the extent described in this warranty, TJM shall not be liable for any other claims, including claims arising from incorrect fitment, product or vehicle modification, faulty design, the use of the product on any indirect special or consequential damage or injury to any person, company or other entity. 5. Modification or alteration to any product manufactured by TJM to enable fitment in conjunction with other vehicle accessories or modifications (e.g. lift kits) will void any warranty claims. 4 After OEM front bumper and aluminum crash bar removal. The front of your Tacoma should look like picture at left. NOTE: outside bottom frame extension is removable and nutsert is in it, if it falls out you need to put it back into place. Optional factory TRD hook in equipped should be removed as well. TJM 070SB15N89ADS Tacoma Installation: 1. Using removed OEM hardware, install Chassis mount#80894 utilizing (3) OEM flanged nuts per side, and two lower supplied M12 x 1.25 x 35mm bolts into OEM nut-sert in bottom of frame (see install Fig#1). 2. Center TJM Chassis mount on front of Tacoma frame and tighten 6 front face OEM nuts first, and then OEM lowers. Install (2) supplied M10 x 1.25 x 30mm bolts; flat washers & nyloc s (see Fig#1). 6 3. If mounting a winch, knock out winch cut-out, then mount winch and utilize supplied remote mount solenoid bracket if necessary. (Different winch brands very in mounting please check with TJM to be sure your current or future winch is compatible). 4. If installing auxiliary lights, now is the time to do so. Your new TJM bumper light mounting bracket is designed and positioned to accommodate most of the aftermarket LED lights available. We tested 3 squire and round Baja Design, Rigid Design & Vision X during development. See figure below for positioning notes: 5. With help from another person, carefully position bumper over Chassis mount and install the supplied M12 x 1.25 x 35mm bolts x flat washers & Nyloc s nuts (Fig#1). Do not fully tighten at this time. 7 6. Carefully adjust bumper up to achieve a ½ even gap between bottom top edge and fender/lower headlight trim. 7. As TJM have found variances between USA Tacoma models (factory build tolerances for mounting body panels), it is recommended that you spend some time positioning bumper before final torque settings are applied. 8. TJM highly recommends that you drill and pin the bumper skin to the mounting bracket bolted to the frame. Drill through bumper mounting plate using this 11mm hole in the frame mount on both sides using a 10mm drill or 7/16 drill bit and drill. Use supplied 10mm Hex bolts, flat washers and Nylock nuts. CAUTION: Always use eye protection when drilling holes. 9. Install lower underbody finishing guard utilizing supplied M6 x 1.0 x 20mm bolts, flat washers and Nyloc s. 10. Mount license plate to front of vehicles 11. Check and re-torque all hardware in accordance with TJM recommendations. 12. Congrats you ve just installed your TJM T-17 front bumper!
