3 INTRODUCTION The Contract, Care and Commercial ranges in this brochure have been designed to meet every technical, statutory and contractual need that is typically specified for today s commercial and social projects. The care products particular acknowledge the need to meet the needs of all sectors of the population. Our range of sanitary-ware products are more comfortable, practical and better designed to suit the needs of today s users. Our elevated toilets suit taller people much better than their lower predecessors, and they can be married to taller rather than standard pedestals which compliment the toilet and allow the ensembles to retain a genuinely fashionable and contemporary look. In addition to visual appeal, our products also come with strong ecological credentials - evidenced by our contract suite, for example. With a 4.5/3 litre dual flush cistern it uses much less water and can help meet Part G regulations that insist upon a maximum consumption per person in a household of 25 litres per person per day. People are living longer, there has never been a higher proportion of older people among the population as there is today The overwhelming majority of sanitary-ware available worldwide today was designed to meet standards and codes which evolved more than a hundred years ago, when people were considerably shorter, life expectancy was shorter and most home deliveries arrived on something pulled by a horse and cart. To respond to these changes in the general population and to provide more comfortable bathroom solutions Basins Pedestals & Loos Ltd, offer a range of elevated toilet suites. Elevated height toilets provide a seat height of around 485 to 500mm (over 60mm taller than standard) providing a more comfortable seating position for taller people and easier to get on and off for people who may be less sprightly than they once were. We also offer taller than standard pedestals (plus 65mm) for use in conjunction with their fashion range of contemporary basins. These products offer practical solutions to irritating problems which are both stylish and attractive. Water saving is becoming a more and more important financial and moral consideration when selecting bathroom products. In addition to the enforced installation of water metering, the new Part G Regulations came into force in the EU on 6th April 200 for all new build construction. The Part G Regulations will require water consumption per person in a household to be less than 25 litres per person per day. The water saving suite with its 4.5/3 litre dual flush operation provides a useful tool to help achieve this. The suite is a close coupled box rim P trap suite with a water saving 4.5/3 litre dual flush. The suite will provide a significant means of achieving the requirements of the new Part G regulations set to come into force for all new build projects in April 200. Manufactured from 2.00mm thick stainless steel, the WC has been load tested to 000 Kg. An extra wide casing gives a large footprint to provide maximum stability and secure floor and wall fixing. Supplied as standard with a white Enviro-Glaze finish to give a ceramic look and to match any décor, the WC avoids the institutional look of traditional stainless steel. The integral outer casing is designed for ease of cleaning and hygiene. The WC has an ergonomically designed elongated bowl. A Big John toilet seat tested to 500 Kg with matching cover is available as an option. The WC may be connected to either wall or floor outlets and is suitable for installing with a concealed duct mounted cistern or flush valve or exposed surface mounted cistern using the optional top entry flush pipe adaptor kit. Top Entry Adaptor Kit Construction The Bariatric WC pan is manufactured in one piece without joints or crevices from 2.0 mm thick grade 304 stainless steel with all installed visible surfaces finished in white Enviro-Glaze. The WC pan incorporates an ergonomic, elongated bowl, a seamless one piece smooth bore trap with radiused bends and a horizontal outlet. An optional plastic WC connector which can be provided to convert the horizontal outlet to vertical within the stainless steel shroud should connection to a floor outlet be required. The outer casing which incorporates side access panels for ease of installation and maintenance can be permanently sealed to the wall and floor to aid cleaning and hygiene. Performance Standards The design of the elliptical shaped bowl, flushing rim and outlet trap ensure a complete wash down of all internal surfaces and efficient low volume flushing for maximum water economy on a dual flush of 4/2.6 litres or an effective 3 litre flush. The WC pan complies with the constructional and performance requirements of EN 997:2003 Part 2 and has been satisfactorily tested in accordance with the Water Supply (water fittings) Regulations 999. 16 CARE PRODUCTS Care Products Basins, Pedestals & Loos Ltd have been involved in the manufacture and supply of sanitaryware for care applications for over two decades. Over 6 million people in the UK are registered as disabled with disabilities ranging from diabetes to quadriplegia. Of this care group around 50,000 are permanent wheelchair users. All care products are designed to meet or exceed the requirements of the Accessibility Act 200 which replaced the previous DDA ( Disability Discrimination Act) 2004 and compliance with B58300:2009. The main features needed to achieve LANTAC approval are as follows: Height to the top of the seat down on the wc should not be less than 480mm The wc should project 750mm from the wall The wc seat (no cover) should have stainless steel fixings and prevent lateral (sideways) movement The basin should have a temperature limited sequential mixer tap fitted to the side nearest the wc. The wall hung option requires a concealed cistern for flushing and a suitable wall construction or mounting frame to carry the installed WC pan. 44 TERMS & CONDITIONS All goods will be invoiced at the price prevailing at the date of the Sellers acceptance of order. Retention of Title In the event of the buyer: a) Going into administration b) Going into liquidation c) Ceasing trading for any other reason Then the following retention of title clauses shall apply: Simple clause: Title to any goods supplied to the buyer by the seller will only pass from the seller to the buyer when the buyer has paid in full for those specific goods. All monies clauses: All goods delivered by the seller will remain the seller s property until all debts owed to the seller by the buyer, including any balances existing are settled, or paid in full. The risk in the goods shall pass from the seller to the buyer upon delivery of such goods to the buyer. However, not withstanding delivery and the passing of risk in the goods, title and property in the goods, including full legal and beneficial ownership, shall not pass to the buyer until the seller has received in cash or cleared funds payment in full for all goods delivered to the buyer under this and all other contracts between the seller and the buyer for which payment of the full price of the goods thereunder has not been paid. Payment of the full price of the goods shall include the amount of any interest or other sum payable under the terms of this and all other contracts between the seller and the buyer under which the goods were delivered. The Buyer will grant the right of access to the buyer s premises to the seller for the purposes of repossessing the Seller s goods under the above Retention of Title clauses. Payments against invoice shall be made in full on or before the end of the next month of invoice. If payment is not made by the due date, the Seller shall have the right to charge interest at 2% per month or part of a month on the outstanding amount. In respect of goods returned to the Seller, the Seller shall be under no obligation to provide credit in respect of those goods unless the same are shown to the Seller to be faulty, and the goods shall be returned by the buyer to the Seller at the Buyers own expense and risk. Claims for damage, shortage or incorrect supply must be notified within 48 hours of delivery. Claims must be made within seven days of the Buyers receipt of invoice, or no responsibility can be accepted. The Seller shall not be liable for any incorrect operation of fitting or faulty repairs or any consequential losses arising there from. Should the Seller be unable for any reason to deliver the full quantities of any order, the Seller shall have the right to supply part of that order and invoice for the same. The said invoice shall be payable in accordance with these Conditions and the Buyer shall not be entitled to refuse payment of the same by the reason of the whole order not being completed. No agent of the Seller shall have any authority to amend the Terms and Conditions of Sale. The Seller reserves the right to make changes in design or specification deemed necessary to facilitate production so long as the goods remain of similar quality. Any items wrongly ordered must be returned at the customers expense and will be subject to a 25% restocking charge. The Seller shall not be bound to supply any of the goods listed in the Seller s Catalogue. Whilst the Seller may choose to support sales promotion of its products by the Buyer with original product photographs and technical literature, such photographs, extracts from the Sellers catalogue or technical literature shall only be used in any publication, brochure, sales literature or promotional material with the prior review by and express permission of the Seller. The placing of any order or tender by the Buyer with the Seller shall imply full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale and in the event of any conflict between the same and the Buyers Conditions of Purchase these Terms and Conditions of Sale shall prevail, and no deviation or variation there from shall be constituted except with the written agreement of both parties. Settlement Terms:- The terms and conditions applicable to credit accounts with our Company are strictly net monthly. In this respect your attention is drawn to paragraph three of the Conditions of Sale. THE MINIMUM NETT ORDER FOR CARRIAGE PAID IS 300 NETT, ALL ORDERS BELOW 300 NETT VALUE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A DELIVERY CHARGE WITHOUT EXCEPTION- 2-3 DAY STANDARD SERVICE, NEXT DAY OR TIMED DELIVERY EXTRA. Any variation of these conditions will apply only if confirmation is obtained from this office. 44
