9 PARTS REQUIRED ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: PATIENT CHAIRS STYLES LY1800, LY1804, LY2100, LY2104 TOOLS REQUIRED QUANTITY PART# DESCRIPTION (1) Base and Tilt Subassembly (LY1804 & LY2104) (1) Stationary Base Subassembly (LY1800 & LY2100) (8) Joint Connector Bolt (8) Flange Nut (4) Serrated Truss Head Screw #5 Allen Wrench ½" Wrench T-30 Torx Driver Rubber Mallet or Hammer w/soft cloth To Remove: HOW TO REPLACE THE BASE ASSEMBLY To Replace: 1. On a protected surface, place the chair on its side with the handle facing up. (Handle on styles LY1804 & LY2104 only.) 2. Locate and remove the four (4) ¼-20 x ¾" Serrated Truss Head screws that attach the Upholstered Back to the Base Assembly. Remove the Upholstered Back and set aside for reinstallation. 3. Remove the four (4) 5 / Joint Connector Bolts and the four (4) 5 / Flange Nuts that attach the to the Base Assembly. Repeat for the opposite side. 4. Remove the s and Front Rail. Set aside for reinstallation. Upholstered Back 1. Position one on a protected surface. Align the holes on one side of the new Base Assembly with the four mounting holes in the. 2. Insert the four (4) 5 / Joint Connector Bolts into the attaching it to the Base Assembly. Place the four (4) 5 / Flange Nuts on the backside. Tighten these securely. 3. Place one end of the Front Rail into the recessed insert. Note: The Front Rail is designed to fit tightly into the recessed insert. Tap with a rubber mallet or soft cloth and hammer, if necessary, for secure placement. 4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the other side. 5. Align the hole pattern in the Upholstered Back with the holes in the Base Assembly. 5 /16-18 Flange Nut Base Assembly 6. Replace and tighten the four (4) ¼-20 x ¾" Serrated Truss Head screws. 7. Return chair to its upright position. 5 /16-18 Joint Connector Bolt ¼-20 x ¾ Serrated Truss Head Screw PART # Front Rail /2001 Revision 1
10 PARTS REQUIRED ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: PATIENT CHAIRS STYLES LY1800, LY1804, LY2100, LY2104 TOOLS REQUIRED QUANTITY PART# DESCRIPTION (1) L/R (1) Front Rail (4) Joint Connector Bolt (4) Flange Nut #5 Allen Wrench ½" Wrench Rubber mallet or hammer w/soft cloth HOW TO REPLACE THE SIDE FRAME AND FRONT RAIL To Remove: 1. On a protected surface, place the chair on its side with the that is to be replaced facing up.
