3 Billet Control Instructions: The following is our recommended installation procedures. Since this will be a custom installation, you may need to modify some steps to fit your individual preferences and the configuration of your particular vehicle. Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 First, determine where you will mount the controls, checking the following first: Consider any contours of the dash (i.e. curves)... keeping in mind that the controls are flat. Check inside dash area for any wires or obstructions that a saw or cutting tool may come into contact with when cutting the hole for the controls. We ve included a template for you to use to cut the correct hole size (on final page). Cut out the template, cut out the hole in the template, tape to your dash, and cut (see figure 1). Remember when cutting, always cut small, then use a file to size, and periodically fit the controls in the hole until a snug fit is achieved. Once the controls fit into your dash, attach the mounting bracket from rear as shown in figure 2. The bracket will hold your controls snug to the dash. Figure 2 Figure 1

4 Electrical Wiring The wiring of our ELITE series has been simplified. We have taken several steps to ensure easy connection of all actuators to our state of the art ECU board that will control all Heat, A/C, Defrost functions. Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. From the rear of the controls locate the FOUR black wires, and GROUND ONE ON EACH SIDE (two total, can be grounded together) and CONNECT ONE ON EACH SIDE TO A 12V DASH LIGHT SOURCE (for illumination, see figure 3). Locate the ECU you installed as part of the evaporator unit, and plug the main connection from your controls into the GREEN color coded plug on the ECU. 5 Operating the Controls Normal Operation The power to the controller and the HVAC system is enabled by the fan switch. When the fan switch is in the OFF position, no power is supplied to the controller, motors, or compressor. LOW, MED and HIGH positions turn on the controller. VENT Recirculation of ambient air is selected by setting the TEMP switch to Position 2 and the MODE switch to any position 2 through 10. Positions 1 and 11 will turn ON the A/C compressor. HEAT Select any MODE position 2 through 10 and any TEMP position 2 through 11. DEFROST Mode switch position 11 and any TEMP position 2 through 11. A/C MODE switch position 1 and any TEMP position. This allows the outlet temperature to be controlled by mixing evaporator air with heater core air. -OR- MODE switch in positions 2 through 11 and TEMP in position 1. This permits the maximum cooling temperature to distribute to Face to Floor vents FAN Switch Position 1 Blower, System OFF Position 2 Blower LOW, System ON Position 3 Blower MED, System ON Position 4 Blower HIGH, System ON The setting on this switch has no effect on other functions. 7 (This calibration page is for use with our Billet Controls) TEMPORARILY RECONNECT THE BATTERY AT THIS TIME. YOU CAN NOW CALIBRATE YOUR UNIT. A B CALIBRATION: Before we boxed and shipped your unit, we tested and calibrated it to factory specifications to make sure it is capable of operating at maximum efficiency. However, the unit must still be calibrated to your specific vehicle and controls. This is an easy process that will only take a few minutes. As you follow thru these steps you ll be able to hear the motors working on your unit. If for any reason your unit does not calibrate properly the first time, just turn off the unit and rerun the setup process.
