SUCTION-SIDE POOLCLEANER SELF ADJUSTING TURBINE VANES All the POOLCLEANER cleaners have the patented self-adjusting turbines, which maximize the power from the water flow.

4 SUCTION-SIDE POOLCLEANER SELF ADJUSTING TURBINE VANES All the POOLCLEANER cleaners have the patented self-adjusting turbines, which maximize the power from the water flow. This turbine is similar to a paddle wheel with blades that are adjustable. This feature allows the POOLCLEANER to still move at low suction and low pressure. In addition the folding vanes of the turbine allow for the easy passage of larger debris through the cleaner. STEERING SYSTEM The x and 4x Suction POOLCLEANER have an internal programmed steering system, that causes the left wheel to periodically reverse, allowing the POOLCLEANER to turn and then move into another direction. For the x Suction POOLCLEANER there are five different programmed turns ranging from 90 to 450 degrees. For the 4x Suction POOLCLEANER there are three different programmed turns ranging from 90 to 540 degrees. This feature allows the POOLCLEANER to cover not only the deep end, but also the shallow end. This steering system allows for the x Suction POOLCLEANER to travel 8 to 10 ft. before it turns, and the 4x Suction POOLCLEANER will travel 11 to 14 ft. before it turns. The POOLCLEANER cleans more in the shallow end than any other cleaner. The POOLCLEANER has no problem with uneven surfaces or strange shapes. It won t stick in a corner, or get hung up by a main drain. ROBUST TIRE TREADS One look and you will see that the patented tire treads give the POOLCLEANER better climbing ability and obstacle maneuverability. The tires come with tread wear markers that show you when to replace your tires. The front tires of the POOLCLEANER have humps (raised treads) that allow the POOLCLEANER to overcome any reasonable obstacles such as the main drain and uneven surfaces. This makes the POOLCLEANER ideal for all pool surfaces and shapes. SELF-CLEANING SWIVEL This is a feature that allows the POOLCLEANER to turn freely without interference from the hose due to debris buildup in the swivel hose cone. By self-cleaning, the swivel prevents the hose from coiling. (Note: Sometimes with severe debris one needs to hold it under a water faucet for cleaning). ADJUSTABLE SKIRT The POOLCLEANER has patented adjustable skirts that allow the cleaner to maintain optimal suction under the machine even when it encounters obstacles. When the POOLCLEANER encounters an obstacle one (or more) of the skirts will lift up (adjust) over the obstacle while maintaining suction under the cleaner. AUTOMATIC BYPASS VALVE The POOLCLEANER comes with a patented automatic bypass valve that regulates the suction to the POOLCLEANER. This bypass valve regulates the suction so that the POOLCLEANER does not exceed the optimal RPM (revolutions per minute). It does so by opening to bypass water when necessary. This will ensure the best possible performance from your POOLCLEANER. Not using the Bypass Valve may cause excessive wear, and hence will void the warranty. 4 This Bypass Valve serves another important purpose. Should your POOLCLEANER get clogged by an object or large debris the valve will snap into a completely open position, preventing your pump from running dry. Once in this completely open position the system must be turned off, the cause of the problem identified and solved, and then the Bypass Valve must be manually reset.

FAST and EASY SNAP SWIVELS These unique patented hose swivels allow for fast and easy assembly and installation of your new Pressure POOLCLEANER. The swivels snap to connect the 6 ft. hose sections. They prevent the hose from coiling, and leaking, allowing for the best possible performance from your POOLCLEANER. PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE The Pressure POOLCLEANER comes with an important pressure relief valve that regulates the pressure flow to the Pressure POOLCLEANER. This relief valve regulates the pressure so as to not exceed the optimal pressure (1-15 PSI or RPM). This will ensure the best possible performance from your Pressure POOLCLEANER. It does so by opening to bypass water when necessary. There is NO screen to clean due to the huge venturri jet. ADJUSTABLE JET This jet on the back of your Pressure POOLCLEANER allows you to tune the forward motion. In most circumstances it will be pointed upward at 11 o clock to allow for maximum traction. 5

11 PROBLEM The PoolCleaner does not move. The PoolCleaner moves too slow. (see also does not move above) The right wheel will not turn when rotated by hand. The loops in the hoses won t come out. SOLUTION The pump may be turned off. The pump may not be primed. The Automatic Bypass Valve may have popped. (Suction Cleaners ONLY) Problem or obstruction in the system. Filter needs backwashing. Obstruction in the PoolCleaner itself. Problem or obstruction in the system. Obstruction in the PoolCleaner itself. Low wheel RPM (insufficient flow). Obstruction in the PoolCleaner itself. The hoses have been stored in a coiled position. Lay them straight in the sunlight. Clean swivel on cleaner head (Suction Cleaners ONLY) TROUBLESHOOTING The PoolCleaner does not clean the entire pool. The hose is too short. The float(s) may be in the wrong position The Hose Cone Swivel (on the turbine cover) may be dirty. Clean it. (Suction Cleaners ONLY) The return fittings may be pushing the PoolCleaner hoses away. Point them down. The PoolCleaner climbs the wall too much or climbs out. The tire treads may be worn down. Too much suction or flow. You are not using the Bypass Valve (Suction Cleaners ONLY). The PoolCleaner won t climb the wall. See moves too slow above. Too little suction or flow. Float may be in the wrong position. The bypass valve has popped (SUCTION CLEANERS ONLY). The hoses leak. Something stuck under/inside the cleaner. The hoses or pipes are blocked. Problem or obstruction somewhere in the system. There is too much suction or flow. An animal (dog,racoon, etc) may have bitten into the hose. The pressure cleaner hoses may not have been properly clipped into the swivels. ( See pg 13 ) ALWAYS TURN OFF THE SYSTEM BEFORE PERFORMING ANY REPAIRS. ALWAYS REMOVE THE POOLCLEANER AND TURN OFF SYSTEM BEFORE SWIMMERS ENTER THE POOL. REMEMBER SAFETY FIRST!!! 11

12 TUNE UP YOUR POOLCLEANER RESET BYPASS VALVE BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, TURN THE PUMP OFF. SUCTION IS DANGEROUS!!! 1 3 TURN OFF PUMP Remove the Automatic Bypass Valve from your skimmer OR suction inlet (wall fitting). 1 POPPED NOT POPPED 4 Remove Bypass Valve and Hose Cone from the hose. Determine if the Bypass Valve is POPPED. There are signs if it is popped. 1. When you look through the basket you can see light through a triangle cut out.. The bottom of the valve has recessed up inside of the valve hiding the little knob. If the valve is NOT popped there is some other problem. DETERMINE THE CAUSE. Check to see if there is anything lodged under the POOLCLEANER.Check if anything is blocking the hoses. Check if there is anything clogging the Turbine (see below). REMOVE ANY CLOGGING. Check that the system is not set to too much suction hence tripping the Bypass Valve (adjust 3 way valve). on the basket and your right hand on the body. Twist your left hand forward away from you and your right hand back toward you. (You may have to bring it closer to your body to get enough leverage). Reassemble the Hose, Hose Cone and Bypass Valve and reinstall. 5 Left hand twists away from you Right hand twists towards you YOU ARE HERE To RESET the Automatic Bypass Valve, take it (as shown above) with your left hand 1 OBSTRUCTION 1 TURN OFF PUMP Remove the PoolCleaner from the pool, making sure to place the hoses straight. Place the cleaner on a work surface. 3 You will need a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the screws that hold the Shroud (for suction cleaners also remove the turbine cover). Remove the Shroud. Set the screws and Top(s) aside. Pressure (4 screws) Suction (3 screws) Visually inspect the rest of the cleaner, 5 removing any debris that may be in the gears, drive shafts etc. BEFORE PLACING THE SHROUD BACK ON REPEAT STEP (turn the right wheel) & make sure the POOLCLEANER runs smoothly. If it doesn t turn you may have replaced the vanes incorrectly. Place the Shroud back onto the cleaner making sure its on correctly. Drop the screws into the screw holes and secure. First we will check to see if anything is clogged inside. Rotate the RIGHT front wheel forward (the grill is in the front). If it won t move there is probably an obstruction. If it moves smoothly, there probably isn t. F R O N T If need be remove the vanes by sliding them out 4 horizontally. Should there be any obstruction remove it. When you reinsert the vanes make sure that they fold forward, toward the front of the cleaner (the grill). Also make sure that you don t insert the worn side of the vanes into the turbine hub as this would cause them to fall out. F R O N T F R O N T

13 BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, TURN THE PUMP OFF. SUCTION IS DANGEROUS!!! 1 3 The tires must be replaced when the tires are worn down to the tread wear indicators! TO REMOVE THE POOLCLEANER FRONT TIRES, use only your hands ( other objects may damage the cleaner ) simply fold the tire off from top to bottom. TO REMOVE THE BACK TIRES, Remove the wheel hubs with a 5/3 or 4mm allen wrench. Once off fold the tire off the same way as above. SKIRTS SUCTION ONLY To replace stretch the tire over the Wheel Hub ( starting from one side and folding it back on ). Make sure the tire is on correctly. The front tires ALWAYS have HUMPS (raised treads) The back tires DO NOT have humps! There are different tires for different applications: The tile tires are solid for tile pools or very slippery pools or rough surfaces. (available for Front and Back tires) The Super Hump (enlarged solid hump) Tires are for pools with antivotex maindrains or other obstacles. (Front tire only) PRESSURE ONLY SWIVEL & CLIP TIRES TUNE UP YOUR POOLCLEANER If you have a pool with an obstruction that causes the skirts and brackets to pop off your PoolCleaner, you need a set of Roller Skirts for your PoolCleaner to prevent this from happening. Situations where the skirts and brackets may hang up and pop off are: in vinyl liner pools with fiberglass steps that are fastened with coping, and pools with an unusual obstruction or holes. 1 BRACKET SKIRT Separate the skirt and bracket by snapping them apart. Do so for ALL four of the front skirts. Snap the roller skirt onto the bracket. Start on one side. Do so for ALL four of the front skirts. NOTE: It may be necessary to preload the clips on the pressure hoses. Pull out the tab on the hose coupling (clip) slightly to preload the clipping action. "CLICK" CLIPPED "CLICK"

Freight allowed ONLY on on shipments of 4 or more automatic swimming pool cleaners to one destination in the continental United States. 3. CLAIMS - All claims must be made within 10 days after receipt of shipment. If a shipment is damaged, your claim must be filed with the delivering carrier and written on the freight bill before you accept the merchandise. Please notify us immediately. 4. PRICES - Prices are F.O.B, original point of shipment. Prices, products and quotes are subject to change without notice. 5. PAYMENT TERMS - Payment Terms (Unless otherwise specfied by POOLVERGNUEGEN in writing) are 30 days net upon approved credit. A service charge of 1.5% per month (18% per year) will be charged. against past due accounts. Shipments will be billed at the prices in effect at time of shipment. 6. SERVICE CHARGE - There will be a $5 service charge on any order less than $ RETURN GOODS - Returned merchandise will not be accepted without our written approval and accompanied by a Return Merchandise Authorization form, obtained from POOLVERGNUEGEN. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted. Freight must be prepaid and merchandise returned for credit is subject to a restocking charge of at least 0% of the invoice value of goods. All transportation charges must be borne by purchaser. Private label or custom parts may not be returned. 8. DESIGN - Poolvergnuegen reserves the right to make revisions and improvements without notice in the design and packaging of our products. 9. STOCK - All shipments are subject to stock availability. 10. TAXES - Any federal or state taxes for which we may be liable on any sale will be paid by the Purchaser.
