8 8 Retrding specific patches Cold mould repair process for retrding * Technical training is available for cold mould repairs and other critical aspects to retrding, feel free to contact us for assistance. Cold mould repair patch - Bias ply 1. Use fresh bonding rubber and select the patch size required. 2. Peel back the plastic backing and lay onto the bonding. Be careful not to trap air. 3. Use a stitcher to apply the patch, stitching from the centre outwards. 4. Ntly trim around the edges of the patch No. 1 Cross-ply cold mould box/ No. 2 Cross-ply cold mould box/ No. 3 Cross-ply cold mould box/ No. 4 Cross-ply cold mould box/ No. 5 Cross-ply cold mould box/ No. 6 Cross-ply cold mould box/ No. 7 Cross-ply cold mould box/10 Prepare injury as normal. The cold mould patch is as fresh as the bonding rubber when applied. Use with black cement. Once repair preparation is complete, tyre go back to normal retrding production line. Sizes are available in Chemical and Double bond, plse contact us. The sectional repair for rthmover tyres Preparation 1. Inspect the tyre and assess the extent of the injury. 2. Gouge away rubber surrounding the injury. Ensure a well-shaped scive-out. Check for moisture. 3. Shape the injury for filling. Cut away loose or damaged cords. Ensure injury is no longer running. 4. Msure the injury to determine correct size of patch required. Application Charts available on request. 5. Centre patch over injury and mark onto the inside of tyre. Buff inner liner to ensure maximum adhesion. *Detailed instructions and training available, these repairs to be performed by tyre professionals only! Calculating cure times 1. Msure the depth of the injury at the thickest point. Cure time is 6mins per mm at 125 deg. C. example: 50mm depth = 50 x 6min = 300 minutes or 5 hours. Final preparation 1. Cln all inner and outer scived surfaces. Buff surfaces thoroughly with chembuff solvent and cln rag. 2. Apply Black vulcaninsing cement with cln brush in an even circular motion. Allow to dry. 3. Centre sectional patch over injury and stitch down well from centre outwards, avoid touching contact surface. 4. Fill the injury with cushion gum or rope rubber. Start from base of injury, avoid trapping air.
