1 Installation Instructions for: SYSTEM # DODGE DART Models with 1.4L Turbo or 2.0L Engine 409S Stainless Steel 08/20/15 1) Raise the vehicle up on a hoist or rack to working height. Spray a penetrating lubricant onto the two front flange bolts as well as the rubber hanger mounts that support the system. This will greatly ease removal of the factory system. 2) To remove the factory exhaust system, support the rear muffler assembly with a stand and then remove the two nuts at the flanged connection just behind the catalytic converter, save the nuts to be reused with the Flowmaster system. Moving from front to back, remove the hangers on the system from the rubber mounts on the vehicle. With the help of an assistant, lower the system from under the vehicle. 3) Place inlet pipe #570TBS up into position behind the catalytic converter and connect the hangers on the pipe to the rubber mounts on the vehicle. Then replace the two nuts removed in Step 1 above and tighten securely. 4) Place a supplied 2¼ clamp onto the muffler inlet and slide onto the back of the inlet pipe. Level the muffler and support with a stand. Tighten the clamp just enough to hold, but still allow for adjustment. 5) Place a supplied 2¼ clamp onto the muffler outlet, then slide the short end of mid pipe #16820S into the muffler outlet and support with a stand. Tighten the clamp at the muffler outlet enough to hold, but still allow for adjustment. 6) Place a supplied 2¼ clamp onto the back end of mid pipe #16820S. Place Y- pipe assembly #16821S into position and slide onto the back of the mid pipe. Connect the hanger on the Y-pipe to the rubber mount on the vehicle. Tighten the clamp at the front of the Y-pipe enough to hold, but still allow for adjustment Pg 1 of 6 Technical Support (707)

2 Instructions for Rallye model vehicles. 7) Place a provided clamp over the left Y-pipe outlet. Place the exit end of tailpipe #86132S into the stainless exhaust bezel at the bumper and then slide the expanded end onto the Y-pipe outlet. Connect the hanger on the pipe to the rubber mount on the vehicle. Tighten the clamp enough to hold, but still allow for adjustment. See note below for additional tip option on Rallye vehicles. 8) Place a provided clamp over the right Y-pipe outlet. Place the exit end of tailpipe #86133S into the stainless exhaust bezel at the bumper and then slide the expanded end onto the Y-pipe outlet. Connect the hanger on the pipe to the rubber mount on the vehicle. Tighten the clamp enough to hold, but still allow for adjustment. Note: Another option on Rallye models is to unbolt the stainless exhaust bezels from the vehicle and use the included ST459 stainless tips in their place on the ends of the exit pipes. Instructions for Non-Rallye model vehicles. 9) Because there are no cutouts in the rear valance for the right or left side tailpipes, it will be necessary to make new cutouts. Follow the instructions on page three below as well as the attached template to properly align and make the cutout. 10) After making the cut-outs in the rear valance, Place a provided clamp over the left Y-pipe outlet. Place exit pipe #86132S into position and slide onto the Y-pipe outlet. Connect the hanger on the pipe to the rubber mount on the vehicle. Tighten the clamp enough to hold, but still allow for adjustment. Place a provided ST459 stainless tip onto the end of the exit pipe and adjust to the desired position. Tighten the pinch bolt on the tip enough to hold in position. Repeat this step on the right side of the vehicle with exit pipe #86133S. 11) Adjust the position of all pipes and mufflers to provide a satisfactory fit. This is a tight fitting system, so take your time and be patient, tightening and adjusting a little bit at a time. Be sure to maintain an adequate clearance around all parts of the system to avoid rattles or damage to heat sensitive components. Once you re happy with the fit, tighten all connections down securely. For a cleaner appearance and more secure installation, we highly recommend welding all slip-fit connections. Make sure to follow the lines on the valance edge to line up the template properly. Repeat this step with the right side template shown below. 2) Use a silver marker or paint pen and trace the cut-out template onto the valance. Remove the template after marking. Use a jigsaw, sawsall or die grinder to carefully cut along the contour. Use a file to clean up the edges after cutting. Pg 3 of 6 Technical Support (707)
