2 INSTALLATION Connection ATTENTION It is forbidden by law to activate EPLUS speed unlocker in public places such as streets, squares and cycling paths. So it is only possible to activate EPLUS speed unlocker in private places such as circuits and private properties. The maker denies responsibility due to any damage to pedal assisted bicycles where Eplus is set up. The maker denies responsibility due to any harm to people or objects. Unplug the connectors and locate the wires 1 Remove the battery from e-bike Looking at the bike from behind, on the left side (opposite side to the chainring), remove the 3 Torx screws (T20) that hold the protective cap of the Bosch engine (in this case Performance CX). 2. 3 2 After removing the protective cover, locate the two plugs of the display (the second 4 colored wires plug from left: yellow-green-black-red) and of the speed sensor (2 wire plug fully right: black-red). 3 With a long forceps carefully remove the two plugs paying attention not to pinch them ruining plugs or wires. 3. 4 4 Slide the thermoshrinking sheath (enclosed) in the two disconnected wires, 5 pushing it over the plug. Insert plugs (output cables from the chip) in their respective two sockets (cables disconnected from the engine) respecting the correct wire color: DISPLAY PLUG > YELLOW-YELLOW / GREEN-GREEN / BLACK-BLACK / RED-RED AND SPEED SENSOR PLUG > BLACK-BLACK / WHITE-RED USE EXTREME ATTENTION TO CORRECTLY ASSEMBLE THE COLORS! CAUTION: WRONG CONNECTION LEADS TO SHORTCIRCUIT, DAMAGES NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY! 4. INSTALLATION

6 6 Carefully cover the two plugs with shrink wrap and with a hair dryer or a lighter heat uniformly the sheath (turning it from right to left) until you have the sheath that takes the shape of the plugs. Be careful not to burn wires or plugs INSTALLATION

7 8 RED WIRE TO RIGHT WHITE WIRE TO RIGHT Now connect the two plugs remaining on the chip to the engine, respecting the correct position of the colors (display RED WIRE and speed sensor WHITE WIRE get to the RIGHT), push the connectors firmly to the end; CAUTION: WRONG CONNECTION LEADS TO SHORTCIRCUIT, DAMAGES NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY! 9 Possibly arrange the cables with electrician clamps paying attention that there are no wires in correspondence with holes where cover s screws are. 7. 8 UNLOCK ON 10 Press the WALK button: it will appear the inscription 2.2 on the display NOW THE UNLOCK FUNCTION IS ACTIVATED! By pressing again the WALK (default) button, on the display it will appear the inscription 1.1 NOW THE UNLOCK FUNCTION IS DISABLED and the byke functions are back to their original status. The green light flashes everytime the magnet is passing on the sensor.the red light flashes when the unlocker is activated. Close the case paying attention not to pinch the cords with the screw even though you have to force to keep them inside the case. 8. INSTALLATION

9 How to modify factory settings and display selection The SPEED UNLOCKER chip is set to be turned on/off through the WALK button and calibrated for wheels of 27,5 (2170 mm circumference). It has to be used with Purion/Nyon displays. In order to modify the dafault parameters follow the procedure below: 1. Turn the display on and put the help level on OFF mode. 2. Press 3 times the [-] button on the handlebar until it will appear 0.5 on the display. 3.. Move the [+ -] buttons on the handlebar to enter in the menu that you want to modify by choosing among 1,2,3,4,5,6 (big number on the display): parameter [0.5] > for INTUVIA visualization of the total kms already traveled; for PURION / NYON the partial and total kms will be visible on the display as usual; parameter [2.5] > Selection of wheel circumference : parameter [1.5] > Type of Display (only Bosch) 1.1 Purion/Nyon (default) 2.2 Intuvia; Wheel circumference (default value > 21.7 equals to 2170 mm, that is, a standard wheel of 27,5 ) the value must be as close as possible to the actual circumference in order to have a correct speed value. We suggest the use of the automatic calibration (parameter 4.5); parameter [3.5] > Selectuon of unlock activation/disactivation button: you can modify the predefined setting (default value > 4.4 WALK button ) by choosing : 1.1 RESET button, 2.2 LUCI (LIGHTS) button, 3.3 sequence +++ or 4.4. WALK. 9. INSTALLATION

10 parameter [4.5] > Automatic calibration of wheel circumference: If the bike is not moving, on the display it will appear the inscription 55.5 for a few seconds; at the end of calibration it will appear If the bike is moving or the magnet on the rays is positioned over the sensor, the calibration WILL NOT TAKE PLACE and on the display it will appear 99.9; parametrer [5.5] > Reset Km ODO and TRIP calculated in unlocker mode; parameter [6.5] > Software version. 4. Make the choice and wait for 5-10 seconds in order to enter inside the parameter you want to modify. 5. Modify the values with the [+-] buttons as you wish, thenwait for a few seconds until the value is positioned on INSTALLATION

11 For Intuvia displays From the 3.02 version, Eplus allows the visualization of the kilometers already travelled. With an Intuvia display it will be necessary to: 1. Modify the default parameters by specifying you will be using an Intuvia display ( see point 3, parameter [1] 2. At first use you ll have to reset Trip. 3. For technical reasons, only on Intuvia display, the partial distance will start from 0 and will increase until the bike is switched off. When you turn the bike on again, the value will restart from 0 In order to visualize the total kms travelled, it will be necessary to press the INFO button and position on the TOTAL KM, then follow Point 3, parameter [0] Attention : the visualization of the total Km travelled will be possible only after having covered at least 100 km. 4. The partial Km will continue to increase until they are not put back to zero with the RESET button. WARNINGS 12 months warranty.
