1 NAF-Setball ball sector valves Fk.(9)GB DN -00, PN 0-, ANSI Class Primary characteristics NAF-Setball is a ball sector valve with metal-to-metal or metal-to- seating. The NAF-Setball combines the best control characteristics of the ball valve and the butterfly valve. It can be used both as a control valve and as a shutoff valve. It is available as standard in stainless steel. It is also available in other materials, such as, CGM, Titanium, etc. Contact NAF for more information The valve has: a one-piece, leak-proof stainless steel body, with face-to-face lengths in acc. with IEC standards a ball sector with top and bottom bearings for low operating torque, so that low-torque actuators can be used a V-shaped sector that provides accurate control over a wide range, even at low flow rates and if used for viscous media with high concentrations of solid particles a spherical area of the ball sector which, with -seat gives tight closing. The Stellite seat ring, ensures excellent tightness at all differential pressures. The maximum leakage in the direction of flow is less than x 0- of the Kv value in this case. Metaloplast bearings. O-ring or graphite packing for the stem gland The standard Stellite seat can easily be converted to after turning the ball sector by degrees, without the need to dismantle the valve. 2 Working pressure, differential pressure and temperature The maximum working pressure and temperature in the body depends on pressure class according to respectively flange standard. Max. differential pressure, valve closed, depends on temperature as shown in the diagram and is valid for all sizes. The specified torques are for clean media. For steam increases the torque in above table with 0%. For pulp and other media containing solids consult your NAF representative. Sizing of control valves We have a valve calculation program which is advanced but very easy to use. This program can be ordered through your NAF representative. The program is based on the calculating formula according to the standards IEC 3, ISA.0 and VDMA.

Terminal box The actuator can be equipped with a junction box (part No ) of cast aluminium containing terminal blocks for connecting the solenoid valve and position sensors. Fugitive emissions Approval, EN ISO- NAF has certified some of our valves with a new stem sealing, according to EN ISO - (this new standard will replace the old TA-luft standard). The packing box solution is with a V-ring set. The new packing set is live loaded with spring cups and equipped with an o-ring above the stem packing. Following valves have been certified in the first test. For higher temperatures, contact NAF. Product code K - Degreased version for oxygen Before assembly, all valve parts are degreased in trichlorethylene vapour. The valve is assembled and packaged so that no oil or grease will enter the valve. Product code D - Stem sealing for vacuum For vacuum the stem sealing O-rings kit is turned to be tight against the pressure from the outside. For applications with alternating vacuum/overpressure is the overpressure limited to bar. Product code V - Internal O-rings for sealing the stem from the medium For media containing small, hard solid particles (such as those in fl ue gases, powders, granulates), and media which can crystallize in narrow slits. Those media can penetrate into the stem seal and give rise to increased actuating torque or increased ware. O-ring seals are arranged between the body and the body side of stem. 13 NAF-Turnex pneumatic actuators for on/off and control, NAF 990/9/9, NAF 9390/9/9 Fk.9()GB Primary characteristics NAF pneumatic actuators are designed for 90 rotation, and the actuator delivers its maximum torque in the closed position (0 ) of the valve, which is normally the position in which maximum torque is needed for ball, ball sector and butterfly valves. intended for both on/off and control internal air passages - no external pipes limit position adjustments in both directions of travel maintenance-free double-acting or single-acting, with spring return includes provision for direct-mounting of valve positioner, solenoid valve and limit position switches piston rod mounted in bearings for smooth operation flexible system of sleeves for different stem diameters Design The linear travel of the pistons is converted by a linkage into rotary travel at the actuator lever. The piston rod and the links has -coated bearings.this relieves the pistons of transverse loads, which ensures smooth operation. If only one cylinder is used, the piston rod at the other end is protected by a protective cylinder. The limit positions of the actuator can be adjusted by means of a stop screw in the end cover of each cylinder. To obtain the spring to close and spring to open function, the cylinder containing the spring assembly is mounted on different sides of the actuator housing. The spring assembly is preloaded in the cylinder and, due to its special design, the cylinder can be removed without the need for removing the preloaded spring assembly. On actuators sizes - 3, the torque is transmitted from the actuator to the valve stem by means of a sleeve. The sleeve system offers wide flexibility, since a given actuator size can easily be adapted for different stem diameters. On actuator sizes 0, and, the actuator is equipped with a lever for the appropriate stem diameter and the torque is transmitted directly. NAF-Turnex actuators are provided with internal compressed-air passages. Compressed air is connected to two threaded ports in the centre of the actuator. Visual indication showing the angular position of the actuator/ valve is provided at the top of the actuator. Sizes 0 - of NAF-Turnex actuators are provided with connections for direct-mounting of solenoid valves conforming to the NAMUR standard. An intermediate plate is used for mounting solenoid valves conforming to other standards. The actuator is also equipped for directmounting of valve positioners and limit switches. Special emergency operating equipment can be fitted to the actuator for operating the valve in the event of loss of compressed air supply. 17 NAF-LinkIT Intelligent Valve Controller, NAF 99 Fk.()GB.0 Primary characteristics NAF-LinkIT, the intelligent valve controller, is designed to operate pneumatic valve actuators from control systems and electrical controllers with the analog control signal -0 ma, optionally superimposed by the HART-communication signal. As an alternative, the digital operation by means of FoxCom, PROFIBUS-PA and FOUNDATION Fieldbus H is possible. NAF-LinkIT can also be integrated into system and application that support FDT/DTM concept according to the specification.. For this purpose the required DTM:s for HART, Profibus and FoxCom are available. Function: NAF-LinkIT converts an analog or digital electrical signal to a predetermined position for a pneumatic actuator. Control parameters and alarm limits can be configured by means of local keys, or on versions with communication (HART, FoxCom, PROFIBUS-PA and FOUNDATION Fieldbus H) remote, with hand-held terminal, PC, or DCS system. With applicable software, NAF-LinkIT can also be used to provide diagnostics of valve condition. Application: Can be mounted directly on a NAF actuator, or with a mounting kit on other pneumatic rotary actuators. The spindle sleeve of the NAF actuator has a slot to receive the positioner spindle. A driver pin then transfers the rotary motion from the actuator to the valve positioner. The driver pin is spring-loaded for transmission without backlash. Design: NAF-LinkIT has a very robust and rugged design made for severe applications in the process industry. The valve controller has a very high air output capacity to fit on large size actuators and valves. NAF-LinkIT is equipped with an integrated beacon indicator visible through the transparent cover. The beacon has red indicator markings for 90 rotation angle.
