2.0 SPECIFICATIONS 2.1 Vehicles shall be supplied with the manufacturer s most suitable specifications and available equipment to supply an acceptable piece of equipment as closely matched to the RFP specifications as possible. Known acceptable trucks GMC 1500, Ford F150, RAM 1500 or CHEVEROLET 1500. No frame or structure will be cut, welded or drilled unless approved in writing by the manufacturer or the West Hants Public Works Department. No factory wiring is to be spliced unless approved in writing by manufacturer or the West Hants Public Works Department. All wiring being spliced must be soldered & covered with shrink tube. All aftermarket items installation, parts & service manuals, & CD s including complete wiring diagrams must be forwarded to West Hants Public Works Department at time of delivery. A copy of the vehicle line ticket, owner s manual, warranty certificates, an electronic version (CD) of the vehicles parts and shop manuals including complete wiring diagrams will have to be forwarded to Public Works Department at time of delivery.
General Requirements A new 2015 full sized 4x4 Truck with a regular cab (would accept an alternate quote for an extended cab or new 2014 model vehicle). Automatic transmission Power steering Power brakes (with ABS) Engine: small V8 gas engine 3.35 rear end axle ratio, with limited slip rear axle Suspension shall be heavy duty; the Municipality requires the heaviest suspension for the GVW rating (from the factory) of the vehicle model quoted. (would accept air bag suspension) Towing capability of 2810kg (6195lbs), please specify maximum trailer tow weight on proposed specifications. Vehicle must be safety inspected and delivered with a full tank of fuel Tire Requirements Five (5) tires and rims to be P235 radial X 15 inch or larger all-season tires. Small spare tire not acceptable. Tires must be sized for heaviest GVW rating specified above.
