The Function of the TOX -Powerpackage with pneumatic spring Functioning of the TOX -Powerpackage 1 1 a a a 5 1 d 1 a 5 5 e d d d Fast approach - the main control valve a) is switched. The working piston 1 extends at high speed until resistance is encountered at any point of the approach stroke, and the integrated sequence valve (d) is shifted. Powerstroke - the intensifier piston closes the high pressure chamber and compresses the oil in working area 5 up to 00 bar. This oil pressure applies pressure to the back of working piston 1 and brings about the powerstroke. Return stroke - After the changeover of main control valve a) the powerstroke valve d) automatically vents chamber e). The working piston 1 and the intensifier piston return to their initial position. TOX -Powerpackage with pneumatic spring (PS) In the case of a TOX -Powerpackage with pneumatic spring, the oil pretension is effected by compressed air applied to the piston surface in the intensifier chamber. The pretensioning by the compressed air is set with a pressure regulator (set at the factory to a pressure of 0.8 bar). Absolute air/oil separation, patented: is a prerequisite for a troublefree operation over a long period of time. A ring groove connected to the atmosphere avoids the "carry-over" of air into the oil. Compressed air is supplied to connection "8" of the TOX -Powerpackage (minimum pressure.5 bar). This pressure acts on the oil over the feed piston, which feeds the oil behind the working rod and guarantees installation of the cylinder in any orientation. The "pneumatic spring" guarantees a high functional reliability by providing the return force for the intensifier piston and a slight pressurization of the oil reservoir. The air pressure of the pneumatic spring can be adjusted to regulate the press force of the cylinder depending on the application, such as in pressing operations.
