The ASV Stubbe variable area flowmeter uses a precision moulded transparent tube with a tapered bore, into which is fitted a conical weighted float. The media (water, air, liquid or gaseous chemicals) flows vertically from the bottom to the top. As it passes through the tube, it displaces the float and raises it to a point where equilibrium is established between the lifting force of the media and the weight of the float. The top edge of the float directly indicates the flow volume on the graduated tube scale. VAFM Limit Switch Functions Monostable open ZE 950 (48448) Monostable Limit Switch closed open Closed when Float is level with switch. Any movement up or down opens switch again. The BlueWhite variable area flowmeter uses a precision manufactured transparent tube with a tapered bore, into which is fitted a conical weighted float. The media (water, air, liquid or gaseous chemicals) flows vertically from the bottom to the top. As it passes through the tube, it displaces the float and raises it to a point where equilibrium is established between the lifting force of the media and the weight of the float. The top edge of the float directly indicates the flow volume on the graduated tube scale. BlueWhite manufacture a wide range of variable area flowmeters from corrosion resistant materials, including Acrylic, Polysulfone, PVCU and Glass. The range includes both inline flowmeters and panel mount flowmeters. Stream Requirements: Measuring accuracy requires a fully developed turbulent flow profile. Install the meter in a straight run of pipe as far as possible from any disturbances. The distance required for accuracy will depend on the type of disturbance. The meter can be mounted on horizontal or vertical runs of pipe. Mounting at the vertical (twelve o clock) position on horizontal pipe is recommended. Mounting anywhere around the diameter of vertical pipe is acceptable, however, the pipe must be completely full of water at all times. Back pressure is essential on downward flows. type F3.00 and F3.01 flow sensors The Type F3.00/F3.01 Paddle Wheel Sensors are designed for use with solidfree liquids. A square wave output signal is generated with frequency proportional to rate of rotor rotation and flow velocity. This pulse output is normally fed to a X3 flow monitor/transmitter, blind transmitter, batch controller or adjustable flow switch. For simple flow indication the output can be fed directly to a computer. Two types of sensors are available, Hall Effect which requires a 5 to 24 VDC power supply and Coil Effect which operates with less power, 3 to 5 VDC. Coil is required with the battery powered flow monitor. Hall Effect signals may be transmitted up to 300m without the need for conditioning whereas Coil Effect signals may be transmitted up to 16m without conditioning.
