ex-stock range Avaiabe ex-stock now: The spirafute deep hoe dri. The program incudes standard dris for driing depths up to 20 x D, 25 x D, 30 x D and 40 x D. The exstock range offers an outstanding cost-performance-ratio as we as avaiabiity. Moreover, the dris permit highest cutting and feed rates and subsequenty achieve a considerabe reduction in machining time. These advantages are achieved thanks to the foowing attributes: Optimised fute geometry The spira-fute deep hoe dris possess a specia fute geometry that is optimised to the specific demand for optima chip evacuation from the deep hoe. (fig. 1) Maximised cooant duct profie To provide the cutting edge with an optimum cooant suppy, the toos possess a maximised cooant duct profie. It ensures an effecient cooant suppy to the cutting edge as we as exceent chip evacuation. (fig. 2) Probem-free swarf The factors described above in combination with the cutting parameters optimay adapted to the appication task resut in chips that are evacuated probem-free even from deep hoes. Chip congestion and a subsequent jamming of the too is effectivey prevented. ex-stock range Reinforced shank for high precision camping Dris from the ex-stock range have a reinforced shank to DIN 6535 HA, toerance h6. This enabes the powerfu camping of the toos with hydrauic expansion chucks (fig. 4) from the Guhring GM 300 range. The combination pus hydrauic expansion chuck guarantees highest concentricity, extreme camping forces, minima imbaance and optima efficiency. Intermediate diameters In addition to the ex-stock range Guhring sti offers dris as specia toos to specific customer requirements. We reaise intermediate diameters with maximum driing depths up to 40 x D or a tota ength up to max. 400 mm. Pease use the request form! The modification of the shank to the MQL shank end makes the ex-stock range suitabe for MQL machining. Deep hoe driing? No probem! The machining industry taks about deep hoe driing from a depth of 10 x D and above, shorter hoes can aso be produced with deep hoe dris. Therefore, ony a few specia conditions must be appied: High-pressure cooing - now a matter of course As in recent years interna cooing has prevaied with driing toos, today every conventiona machine too is offered with high-pressure interna cooing and is therefore aso suitabe for deep hoe driing. Too guidance - a must A deep hoe dris must be guided during initia driing. Deep hoe dris must never operate at fu speed unsupported. - on deep hoe driing machines After checking the camping and the tota ength, the appication of RT 100 T is possibe on deep hoe driing machines with a guide bush. Procedure To achieve optima machining resuts in the production of deep hoes with the particuary when pioting on radii and/or uneven surface we recommend the foowing machining steps: 1. Miing of fat. The fat must be at right anges to the entry of the driing operation. 2. Producing a cyindrica piot hoe (toerance F9) with a minimum driing depth of 1 x D. 3. Entering the sowy into the piot hoe. 4. Setting the cooing ubricant pressure and speed. 5. Continuous driing to fu driing depth without pecking cyce. 6. For through hoes with obique exit reduce feed rate. 7. Upon reaching the driing depth switch off speed and cooing ubricant, withdraw with rapid feed rate. Detaied recommendations regarding the procedure on page 10. specia toos for MQL machining Specia shank end: for MQL machining is avaiabe as a specia too with the shank end optimised for MQL machining. Because an extremey ow voume of cooant is appied with minima quantity ubrication, the deivery of these ow cooant quantities to the effective area is of utmost importance. The Guhring deveoped conica shank end optimay satisfies the reevant MQL conditions: It prevents ubricant buid-up or dead pockets and offers simpe operation and cost-efficient production. Therefore, changing over your production does not require new toos! In addition, the MQL suitabe shank end is designed for 1- as we as 2-channe MQL systems. You do not have to fear any restrictions when appying Guhring MQL toos. Shank end suitabe for minima quantity ubrication without buid-up or dead pockets of cooant. In combination with Guhring hydrauic or shrink fit chucks and the Guhring MQL deivery set, it offers the optimum and costefficient soution for MQL machining producing the highest hoe quaity and extremey ong too ife. machining steps Procedure In order to achieve optima machining resuts when producing deep hoes with type especiay spotting on radii or on an uneven surface structure, we recommend the foowing machining steps: 1. Initia miing of surface, i.e. with Guhring s centre cutting Ratio end mi RF 100 U. The surface must be machined at right anges to the entry ange of the driing operation. 2. Production of a cyindrica piot hoe (toerance F9) with a minimum driing depth of 1 x D. For this operation we recommend our Ratio dris RT 100 U or RT 100 F respectivey. Thanks to a 140º point ange and a m7 toerance on diameter these Ratio dris are especiay suitabe for this machining task. 3. Entry of spira-fute deep hoe dri in the piot hoe at a speed of approx. 300 rev./min and with a feed rate of approx. 500 mm/min. 4. Setting of cooant pressure and speed. 5. Continuous driing to compete hoe depth without wood pecking. 6. For through hoes with obique exit, reduce the feed rate v f to 40% approx. 1 mm prior to break-through. 7.
