REASON To provide a wide cabin door installation. DESCRIPTION This service bulletin provides the parts and instructions necessary to modify the airplane structure and install a wide cabin door. COMPLIANCE OPTIONAL. This service bulletin can be accomplished at the discretion of the owner. A service bulletin published by Cessna Aircraft Company may be recorded as completed in an aircraft log only when the following requirements are satisfied: 1) The mechanic must complete all of the instructions in the service bulletin, including the intent therein. 2) The mechanic must correctly use and install all applicable parts supplied with the service bulletin kit. Cessna Model 560 Encore Wiring Diagram Manual Cessna Model 560 Encore Plus (-0752 thru -0815) Wiring Diagram Manual ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS 1. Prepare the airplane for maintenance. A. Make sure that the airplane is electrically grounded. B. Make sure that all switches are in the OFF/NORM position. C. Disconnect electrical power from the airplane. (1) Disconnect the airplane battery. (2) Disconnect external electrical power. D. Attach maintenance warning tags to the battery and external power receptacle that have "DO NOT CONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER - MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS" writtenonthem. 2. Level the airplane. A. Use jacks to level the airplane. (Refer to the Cessna Model 560 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 8, Leveling - Maintenance Practices.) (1) Make sure the landing gear stay in contact with the ground. B. Place a tail stand under the tail of the airplane and raise it to the point of contact with airplane. 3. Use padded wooden cradles to support the airplane. A. Place padded wooden cradle supports under the fuselage at the first bulkhead frame aft of the cabin door opening. B. Place padded wooden cradle supports under the fuselage at the forward cabin divider. C. Shim the cradles, as required, to contact the fuselage. 4. Remove the cabin door. (Refer to the Cessna Model 560 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 52, Entrance Door - Maintenance Practices.) 5. Remove the entrance door step. (Refer to the Cessna Model 560 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 52, Entrance Step Maintenance Practices.) 6. Remove interior equipment and furnishings as required to accomplish this modification. (Refer to the Cessna Model 560 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 25, Equipment/Furnishings.) 7. Remove the padded wooden supports that you placed under the airplane. 10. Apply primer and paint that is the same color as the topcoat to the modification area as necessary. (Refer to the Cessna Model 560 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 20, Exterior Finish-Cleaning and Painting.) 11. Weigh the airplane to compute new weight and balance. (Refer to the Cessna Model 560 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 8, Weighing - Description and Operation.) 12. Remove the maintenance warning tags and connect the airplane battery. 13. Perform operational/functional tests of the systems added or disturbed by this modification. (Refer to the Cessna Model 560 Maintenance Manual, applicable chapters.) 14. Record that this service bulletin has been completed. A. Complete a Maintenance Transaction Report. B. Put a copy of the completed Maintenance Transaction Report in the airplane logbook. C.
