DI429 DI58O01 Sht in LH and RH P/T Squib Circuits CIRCUIT DESCRIPTI The LH and RH P/T squib circuits consist of the airbag sens assembly and LH and RH seat belt pretensioners. It causes the pretensioner to activate when the pretensioner activation conditions are satisfied. F details of the function of each component, see OPERATI on page RS2. is recded when B+ is detected in the LH and RH P/T squib circuits. DTC No. DTC Detecting Condition Trouble Area B0133/62 Sht circuit in seat belt pretensioner (LH) wire harness Sht circuit in seat belt pretensioner (RH) wire harness P/T squib (LH) malfunction P/T squib (RH) malfunction sens assembly malfunction Seat belt pretensioner (LH) Seat belt pretensioner (RH) sens assembly Wire harness WIRI DIAGRAM See page DI424. INSPECTI PROCEDURE 1 Prepare f inspection. (See step 1 on page DI456 ) 605

DI430 DIAGNOSTICS 2 Check P/T squib (LH) circuit. () (+) PL+ PREPARATI: Turn ignition switch. F the connect (on the airbag sens assembly side) between the seat belt pretensioner (LH) and airbag sens assembly, measure the voltage between PL+ and body ground. : Voltage: Below 1 V AB0119 H02137 H03457 H03458 Repair replace harness connect between the seat belt pretensioner (RH) and airbag sens assembly. 3 Check P/T squib (RH) circuit. PR+ PREPARATI: Turn ignition switch. F the connect (on the airbag sens assembly side) between the seat belt pretensioner (RH) and airbag sens assembly, measure the voltage between PR+ and body ground. : Voltage: Below 1 V AB0119 H03459 H02137 () (+) H03460 Repair replace harness connect between the seat belt pretensioner (RH) and airbag sens assembly. 606

DI431 4 Check airbag sens assembly. PR PL H02139 H03461 H02139 PL+ PR+ H03462 PREPARATI: (a) Connect the connect to the airbag sens assembly. (b) Using a service wire, connect PL+ and PL of the connect (on the pretensioner side) between the seat belt pretensioner (LH) and airbag sens assembly. (c) Using a service wire, connect PR+ and PR of the connect (on the pretensioner side) between the seat belt pretensioner (RH) and airbag sens assembly. (d) Connect negative () terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least f 2 (a) Turn ignition switch to and wait at least f 20 (See step 5 on page DI377 ) (c) Turn ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least f 20 (d) Turn ignition switch to, and wait at least f 20 (See page DI377 ) : Replace airbag sens assembly. 607

DI432 DIAGNOSTICS 5 Check P/T squib (LH). H03463 H03464 PREPARATI: (a) Turn ignition switch to LOCK. (b) Disconnect negative () terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least f 90 (c) Connect the seat belt pretensioner (LH) connect. (d) Connect negative () terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least f 2 (a) Turn ignition switch to, and wait at least f 20 (See step 5 on page DI377 ) (c) Turn ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least f 20 (d) Turn ignition switch to, and wait at least f 20 (See page DI377 ) : There is possibility that D, P and side airbags except f pretensioner are damaged, so check DTC B0103/12, B0113/42 and B0118/46. 608

DI433 6 Check P/T squib (RH). H03465 H03466 PREPARATI: (a) Turn ignition switch to LOCK. (b) Disconnect negative () terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least f 90 (c) Connect the seat belt pretensioner (RH) connect. From the results of the above inspection, the malfunctioning part can now be considered nmal. To make sure of this, use the simulation method to check. If the malfunctioning part can not be detected by the simulation method, replace all SRS components including the wire harness. 609
