Handheld Interface at a glance: Driver HOS Status Driver ID Driver who is currently logged in to the system RF Key Switch Turn the key to the off position and remove to disable RF signal On-Screen Menu Options Soft Keys Press to access the menu options DIM Button Press this button to dim the handheld screen brightness USB Flash Drive USB Drive is primarily used for programming the handheld, however it can also be used by a driver to login to the system HOS Information (DOT Only) On-duty time and Driving time remaining for the driver On Road / Off Road Status (DOT Only) Law Enforcement In the Event of a System Failure: Operating Instructions: In the event the system fails, trucks are equipped with a blank log book Drivers have been instructed to record that the system failed, the date and time of the failure, and to recreate the last 7 days logs at their next change of status location Recreated logs may consist of both printed and paper logs Electronic logs can be emailed of faxed to your location To Check a Driver or Occupant s Hours: See Page 9 Panic Button Press & hold this button for 3-5 seconds - this will send an emergency notification to your system administrator RF LED Indicator LED light indicates if RF signal is enabled (green) or disabled (red) To View a Driver s Daily Log: See Page 8 2 11

Enter your Driver ID 3. Press Save 5. Press Yes or No when prompted for Pre-Trip Inspection 6. Press Yes or No to confirm your selection for Pre-Trip Inspection 4. A confirmation screen will display, press OK HOS Driver Log In Add Fuel 1. Press New Driver menu option 2. If prompted: Press Yes or No for DOT Trip 1. Press Add Fuel menu option 2. Optional: Press the Trailer menu option. enter the Trailer ID if needed 8. Press Save 9. Press Yes or No when prompted for Pre-Trip Inspection 10. Press Yes or No to confirm your selection for Pre-Trip Inspection 10 3

Driver Log Out (Clear Driver ID) << DOT Drivers Only >> 1. Press Clear Driver ID menu option 2. Select Yes or No when prompted for a Post- Trip Inspection On-Road / Off-Road Status 1. Press Off Road menu option 3. Select Yes or No to confirm your previous selection 2. Press Clear Driver ID menu option 2. You will have 3 options: Change HOS Duty Status Stay On-Duty - Not Driving Off-Duty Off-Duty @ Well Site 1. Press the Driver Status menu option 2. Select the most appropriate Duty State, use the more key to view all options (see image 12) 3. Press the corresponding menu option to select one of the options listed above Check Driver/Occupant Hours 1. Press the Check Hours menu option The On-Duty and Driving time remaining will display along with a timestamp of the data 4 9

<< DOT Drivers Only >> Work Alone Timer View HOS Logs 1. Press HOS Log menu option 1. Press Work Alone menu option 2. Enter the Time (in minutes) you plan on working away from the vehicle 2. Use the Previous Day and Next Day buttons to scroll through all days in the log 3. Use the Page Up and Page Down buttons to scroll through all of the log data, such as: HOS Ruleset Sleeper Berth Time Driving Time Off Duty Time Total Truck Distance Truck #: Miles Driven Occupants Remarks Image 9: HOS Log menu option highlighted Image 5: Work Alone menu option highlighted 3. Press Start. The display will return to the home screen, however the timer is running in the background Before the time expires you have 3 options: Check In: Use this option if you need additional time away from the vehicle Stop: Use this option if you have finished your work away from the vehicle Drive: If the vehicle moves prior to the timer expiring, the Work Alone Timer will be cancelled When the Timer Expires: Image 10: HOS Log Navigation Image 6: Work Alone Screen If you do not return to the vehicle before the time expires, a Man Down notification will be sent to your System Administrator immediately A panic alarm will also sound inside the cab of the vehicle indicating the man down You can stop the alarm at any time and indicate you are OK by pressing the Stop button at any time 8 5

Text Messages Press Messages menu option To View a Message: Use the Up & Down arrows on the keypad to select a message and then press View Message To Send a Message: 1. Press New Text Message menu option Image 7: Messages menu option highlighted Send Panic Alarm 1. Press and Hold the Panic Button for at least 3 seconds An audible alarm will sound (Panic alarm) and your System Administrator is notified immediately of your emergency situation. Warning! Only press the Panic Button in the event of an emergency. Your System Administrator is notified immediately upon activating the alarm. 2. Use the keypad to type your message 3. Press Send Message menu option To Send a Pre-Defined Message: 1. Press New Text Message menu option 2. Press Pre-Defined Messages menu option 3. Press Send Message menu option How it works: Once activated, the Panic alarm will sound inside the vehicle until the notification has been sent to, and received by the portal.
