BID SPECIFICATIONS for 2017 DUMP TRUCK The Town of Farragut is requesting bids on the purchase of a new 2017 (33,000 lb.) G.V.W. Dump Truck. Sealed bids shall be submitted no later than 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2016, to: Farragut Town Hall, 11408 Municipal Center Drive, Farragut, Tennessee 37934. Mark 2017 Dump Truck Bid on the outside of the envelope. The Town requires that the proposed vehicle meet or exceed the following minimum specifications in addition to standard factory equipment. The bidder shall state any exceptions to the specifications and identify any additional features that are included with the proposed bid. The Town will consider the best available bid. Beginning December 20, 2016, there will be a penalty of $75.00 per day until truck is delivered to the Town and is complete and in total working order. If additional equipment is needed to install equipment listed in the bid specs, it is the responsibility of the bidder to provide equipment or parts to make the complete truck, bed, salt spreader and trailer hitch work together. The Town of Farragut is requesting two (2) bid proposals. One bid shall be the purchase price of a new 2017 Dump Truck. The other will be an alternate bid for a new 2016 dump truck that you have on your lot now that meets or exceeds the required specifications.
