The ar chamber should not be dsmantled for any reason. ntroducton of dust partcles nto the check valve wll cause a change n the tme settng or may cause complete falure of the tme delay mechansm. The proper return sprng must be used wth the "on delay" relay. Ths sprng exerts l. 75 lbs. at 1 nch ntal length and 2.55 lbs. at 11/rG nch fnal length. Operatng Lever. The operatng lever s accurately adjusted at the factory. Should further adjustment be necessary, however, proceed as follows: Loosen locknut on the adjustng screw, tum the adjustng screw slghtly, and check to see that swtch unt operates when operatng lever s 1h2 nch from the shoulder of the operatng pn. Cauton must be used when makng ths adjustment snce very lttle turnng of adjustng screw s requred to correct the acton of the operatng lever. After correct adjustment s made, lock adjustng screw n ths poston usng the locknut. Te-Plate. The te-plate s accurately adjusted at the factory when an nstantaneous swtch s provded on the relay. To determne the dal settng for a desred tme delay, frst measure, preferably between 3 and 6 seconds, the tme delay produced by a random settng of the dal.
