This information shall be considered in the evaluation of bids.
33. Optional Equipment: The County will consider alternate bids for each truck to be equipped with: power windows, power mirrors, power door locks and remote keyless entry; all other specifications shall remain the same. 34. Price: Price shall be valid for vehicle orders placed by December 31, 2018, and shall be per vehicle regardless of the actual number of vehicles purchased. The price shall include delivery to Cumberland, Maryland, operator s manuals, title, temporary tags, notary and dealer preparation fees. The availability of parts and price of parts will be considered in the evaluation of the bids, i.e., National Fleet discount on parts. Invoice(s) shall be submitted for payment after equipment has been delivered and all provisions of the Specifications have been satisfactorily completed (at least 98- percent). Payment shall be mailed to vendor approximately 2-4 weeks after processing of invoice. In order to expedite payment, invoice should be delivered with the equipment, if possible. Submittal of a bid under these Specifications shall indicate your company s agreement with the above payment conditions. 35. Flex-Fuel Vehicle Bid Preference: In an effort to be more environmentally sensitive, the County is willing to pay 5% more for vehicles which can utilize both E85 ethanol and regular unleaded gasoline, than a regular gasoline powered vehicle. This preference will be applied in the same manner as the County Local Bid Preference is applied. If the bidder s unit and respective components deviate in any way from these Specifications, special mention must be itemized in writing of such variation on your bid sheet. This means all items, one (1) through thirty-five (35), must be listed on vendor s bid sheets as to what is provided and whether it meets, is under or exceeds Specifications. FACTORY SPECIFICATION BROCHURES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE. All bids must be notarized and accompanied by a completed Affidavit of Qualification to Bid form. Bids shall be compared to the Maryland State Bids for Pickup Trucks. The County Commissioners of Allegany County, Maryland, reserve the right to reject any or all bids, or to select the One-half Ton Pickup Trucks and/or optional equipment best suited for use by the Allegany County Department of Public Works.
