DICKEY-john does not warrant products that are not manufactured by DICKEY-john and does not make any definitive representation regarding the useful lives of those parts. It is recommended to conduct daily inspections of hoses for kinks and defects, as well as full inspection and maintenance of those hoses and valves. IMPORTANT: A thread sealant that is compatible with anhydrous ammonia MUST be used. Do not use Teflon tape. 1. Install sweep elbow on mounting plate. 2. Sweep elbow/mounting plate assembly. 3
3. Install Super Flow on top of sweep elbow assembly. 7. Thread fl ow meter fl ange on 1 1/4 pipe nipple. The cut recess should face upwards to accept the fl ow meter fl ange gasket. 4. Install 1 1/4 x 4 pipe nipple into sweep elbow. 8. Place gasket in recess groove. 5. Thread 1 1/4 pipe elbow on the end of the 1 1/4 pipe nipple. 9. Place remaining fl ow meter fl ange recess-side down. 6. Install 1 1/4 x 4 pipe nipple into top of elbow. 10. Install 1 1/4 x 4 pipe nipple into fl ow meter fl ange. 4
11. Install 1 1/4 control valve onto pipe nipple. 15. Install valve actuator bracket to valve using bolts and lock washers provided. 16. Carefully place fl ow meter into fl ange. Ensure that the fl ange gasket remains seated into recess of the fl ange. 12. Locate 2 coupling bars and 2 coupling screws. 13. Install coupling bars onto valve using the 2 coupling screws with the pins facing outward. 17. IMPORTANT: The word OUT must be facing up when placing the fl ow meter into the fl ange. Record the fl ow meter calibration numbers found on the fl ow meter and record in the owner s manual for future reference. Place a gasket on the top of the fl ow meter. 14. Install vapor charge elbow onto valve with hose barb pointing up. 18. Place completed valve/fl ange assembly onto fl ow meter. Ensure that the gasket remains seated into fl ange recess. 5
19. Align holes in fl anges and place 3 fl ange bolts through both fl anges. 22. Orient valve actuator so that the pins insert into the remaining 2 holes on valve coupler. Place 4 bolts on bottom of valve actuator through valve bracket. 20. Secure and tighten fl ange bolts using nuts and lockwashers provided. 23. Secure valve actuator to bracket using the 4 nuts and lock washers provided. 24. Completed assembly. 21. Place black valve coupler onto pins on valve. 6
25. Thread a 1 1/4 x 4 nipple into input port on unit. 28. Insert the (4) 3/4 hose barbs into holes provided in bottom ring of unit. 26. Thread 1 1/4 Y strainer onto nipple. Arrow on Y strainer must be facing the unit. Also, install the 3/4 drain plug in the bottom of the Y strainer. 29. Note the letter stamped into the hose barb on the vapor charge adapter. 27. Install the straight hose barb into the 1/4 bung below the main inlet. This hose barb does not have an orifi ce like the barbs that are installed in the vapor charge adapter. 30. Refer to the fl ow chart in the Super Flow manual and install the appropriate hose barb into the vapor charge elbow. 31. Install the EVA tubing from the hose barb on the vapor charge adapter to the hose barb on the lower portion of the unit that was installed in step 27. Secure with clips or hose clamp. 7
