Type AN1 is esigne with flat iron fittings which are fitte through the flanges an wele on the outsie. A cylinric bolt, which allows angular movement in one plane, is mounte on the fitting above the centre line of the bellows. The expansion joint is mae with one bellows. Type AN is fitte with flat iron fittings. The fittings are secure to a mile ring with cylinrical bolts, which allow angular movement in all planes, above the centre line of the bellows. The expanion joint is mae with a single bellow. Common to both types is the fact that the fittings have the task of absorbing the loas arising from the operating pressure. The fittings make axial expansions impossible, which means that the expansion joint can onkly absorb bening forces. Angular expansion joints are suitable for installations where it is not possible to create stury fixing points, an in pipe systems where bening occurs.
