UC San Diego Family Weekend Parking Guide Friday, October 21 Sunday, October 23, 2016 UC San Diego Address: 9500 Gilman Drive, La Jolla, CA 92093 Parking is free on Saturday-Sunday in most spaces (see information below). There is a fee for parking on campus Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. You must purchase a parking permit or pay at a parking meter, found in or near the lot you are trying to park. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21 PARKING- HOPKINS PARKING STRUCTURE: All Family Weekend guests are encouraged to park in the Hopkins Parking Structure (map). There will be clear walking directions to Family Weekend check-in, located in Price Center East Foyer (2 nd floor). Note: The Gilman Parking Structure will be heavily impacted on Friday because it is a normal business day and because of on-going construction in the surrounding area. It is highly encouraged to park in the Hopkins Parking Structure. Hopkins Parking Structure Driving directions to UC San Diego - Hopkins Parking Structure 1. Take I-5 2. Exit Genesee Avenue Head West (From the I-5 North, it will be a left turn;i-5 south will be a right merge) 3. Turn Left at North Torrey Pines Road 4. Turn Left at Northpoint Drive 5. Parking in the Hopkins Parking Structure On weekdays, you must purchase a pay station permit in the Hopkins pay stations. A properly dated visitor (V) pay station permit provides visitor parking in these spaces: V: 24 hours daily (7 th floor) S: 24 hours daily (1, 2, 3, 6, and 7 th floors) B: 24 hours daily (4, 5, 6 th floors) A: 4:30 pm 7:30 am daily (6 th floor) o You may not park in A spots before 4:30pm Pay Station Information Rates: o $2 per hour or $20 per day Exact change is required. Pay stations do not dispense change. Pay with any combination of the following: o Cash $1 and $5 bills only o Visa, MasterCard, or American Express Pay station permits are valid for all V spaces, not just those in Hopkins. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22-SUNDAY, OCTOBER 23 PARKING: All Family Weekend guests are encouraged to park in the Gilman Parking Structure (corner of Russell Drive and Gilman Drive map here). PARKING Q & A: FAMILY WEEKEND 2016 Q: Are there other parking structures that I could park in instead of the Hopkins & Gilman Parking Structure? A: Yes. You may park in the Pangea Parking Structure (map). Each structure has a rate of $2 per hour or $20 per day. After purchasing a permit from a pay station (Monday-Friday) you may park in spaces V, B, S (24 hours daily) and A (after 4:30 p.m.). Saturdays and Sundays are free.
