Prepare the airplane for maintenance. A. Make sure that all switches are in the OFF/NORM position. B. Disconnect electrical power from the airplane. (1) Disconnect the airplane batteries. (2) Disconnect external electrical power. C. Attach maintenance warning tags to the batteries and external power receptacle that have "DO NOT CONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER - MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS" writtenonthem. 2. (Refer to Figure 1, Detail A.) Remove the AFIS DMU. (Refer to the Model 750 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 23, Global Automatic Flight Information System (AFIS) - Maintenance Practices.) NOTE: The 400-045500-0211 AFIS DMU replaces the 400-045500-0003 AFIS DMU which is used on airplanes that do not have satellite communications (SATCOM). The 400-045500-2011 AFIS DMU replaces the 400-045500-0005 AFIS DMU which is used with airplanes that have SATCOM. A. Remove the aft niche panel. (Refer to the Model 750 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 53, Tailcone Baggage Compartment - Maintenance Practices.) B. (Refer to Figure 1, Detail A.) Release the latch catches on the front of the AFIS DMU. C. Remove the AFIS DMU from the airplane. 3. Return the removed 400-045500-XXXX AFIS DMU to Cessna. NOTE: Contact Cessna Citation to schedule modification at 1-316-517-6029 or telefax 1-316-517-7711 or E-mail to: cpdavionicsteam@cessna.textron.com. This will require advance notification. Citation Repairs will schedule the units and arrange for their return. Allow 5 to 7 days for the modification. This service bulletin may not be signed off as completed unless the units are scheduled through Cessna Citation. Page 3
4. (Refer to Figure 1, Detail A.) Install the upgraded AFIS DMU. (Refer to the Model 750 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 23, Global Automatic Flight Information System (AFIS)- Maintenance Practices.) NOTE: The 400-045500-0211 AFIS DMU replaces the 400-045500-0003 AFIS DMU which is used on airplanes that do not have satellite communications (SATCOM). The 400-045500-2011 AFIS DMU replaces the 400-045500-0005 AFIS DMU which is used with airplanes that have SATCOM. A. Check the connectors on the AFIS DMU and the AFIS DMU mounting tray for damaged pins. B. Place the AFIS DMU in the mounting tray with the latching bar down. C. Make sure that the electrical connectors are aligned properly. D. Lift up and push back on the latching bar until the latch catches the latching bar in place. 5. Prepare the airplane for an operational check. A. Remove the maintenance warning tags. B. Connect the aircraft batteries. C. Connect external electrical power. 6. Run Procomm Plus on the laptop computer. 7. Gain access to the Procomm Plus directory. 8. Set the following configuration options. A. Terminal Emulation : TVI 925 B. Parity/Bits/Stop-Bits : N81 C. Baud Rate : 9600 9. Exit the Procomm Plus directory. NOTE: The laptop computer must not be in the Procomm Plus directory when the AFIS system is turned on and initialized. The correct sequence is to turn the AFIS system on and then gain access to the Procomm Plus directory. 10. (Refer to Figure 2.) Connect the AFIS programming cable to the laptop computer port and AFIS DMU computer port. 11. Cycle power on the AFIS DMU. 12. Gain access to the Procomm Plus directory on the laptop computer. 13. On the laptop computer, type "ON" and press enter for the menu. 14. Type "CM" and press enter to display the configuration module menu. 15. Type "CC xx" to view the possible options for each setting. NOTE: "xx" is the two digit setting number from the configuration module menu. NOTE: The following is a list of the AFIS default configuration options. Not all options are available on all airplanes. Do an operational check of the AFIS DMU. (Refer to Honeywell FMZ 6 Flight Management System Pilot's Operating Manual, Software Version 5.9 & 6.0, Section 6-41.) 24. Install the aft niche panel. (Refer to the Model 750 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 53, Tailcone Baggage Compartment - Maintenance Practices.) 25. Record that this service bulletin has been completed. A.
