Turning in a counter clockwise direction, unscrew ift knob ACD-PRO Install in 2008 EvoX Slide back and remove the floor console panel assembly Pull up to remove the center console tray Disconnect the plug located on the bottom of the console tray
Pull up on the back end of floor console box cup holder and remove Use a Philips head screw driver to remove the two screws located at the back end of the floor console panel assembly. Proceed to lift the assembly over the shift lever. On the bottom side of the floor console panel assembly disconnect the clip and plug to 12V power adapter in order to fully remove the assembly.
Use a Philips head screw driver to remove the two screws shown here Remove the plastic clip attached to the inside of the console assembly located near the front corner of driver seat. This may require assistance of a flathead screwdriver Use a 10 mm socket and long extension to remove the two bolts inside the center console bin. The entire center console can now be removed by lifting upward. Store in a safe location
Use a Philips head screw driver to remove the two screws at the base of the lower driver dash panel and pull the panel toward you. Then disconnect the connectors on the upper left corner Use 12mm socket to remove the 4 bolts holding the knee airbag tray in place. Position a box underneath to support and hold up the airbag tray Use a Philips head screw driver to remove the three screws located on the floor console side cover. Pull the side cover out to disengage the clips and remove. Repeat the step above for the passenger side cover
Pull up along the outer edge to remove front driver side step trim
Repeat step above for front & rear passenger side step trim Remove the four plastic clips using a flathead screwdriver to take off the battery and windshield washer plastic trim cover to expose the rear seats Next unscrew the two screws holding the Styrofoam floor jack trim in place and remove. Remove the passenger side felt trunk trim by unscrew the two clips shown in the photo
Use Scotch 3M All Weather Fasteners and place on the back side of the ACD pro box as shown Next secure the ACD pro on top of the Airbag Tray as shown. Check the positioning to ensure clearance from the steering column. Route the black & white wires from the 6 wire 18 awg cable along with the 4 wire 18 & 22 awg cables underneath the dash through to the passenger side Pull back the passenger side carpet and continue running the wires up under the dash and down the passenger side step trim
Continue routing the wires underneath the rear passenger seat into the trunk. Use a flash light to locate the wiring from the trunk and pull through Using zip ties to route the wiring up along the OEM ACD wiring located on inside passenger side of the trunk
Carefully feed the ACDpro wiring through the rubber grommet to the outside of the vehicle Disconnect the ACD-Solenoid Connector shown here Additional picture of ACD pump for reference The Black(-) and Blue(+) wires get snipped from the OEM wiring, The ACD-Pro wiring routed from the unit will get connected to the OEM connector for a plug and play directly into the Pump.
Connect ACD+ (Black 18 awg) to the + side of the OEM connector (Blue wire, pin 3 ). Connect ACD- (White 18 awg) to the - side of the OEM connector (Black wire, pin 2 ). Connect the OEM controller feed in Blue + wire to the ACD+ in wire (White 22 awg). Scaled back view ACD- white 18awg to - side of OEM connector black wire ACD in white 22awg to OEM ACD + blue wire ACD+ black 18awg to + side of OEM connector blue wire Route the brown parking brake cut out wire from the 6 wire 18 awg cable along with the G-sensor, the locking force adjustment, and manual /auto switches through lower center dash to the center console.
Continued from previous step. Also zip tie the wiring to OEM wiring harness as shown to maintain clearance from the shifter Apply 3M All Weather Fasteners to the back side of the G-Sensor and mount towards the back end of the center console with the arrow point towards the front of the vehicle Connect the Brown parking brake cut out wire to the parking brake sensor (light green wire) Route and connect the Green ground wire from the 6 wire 18 awg cable through the driver side of the lower center dash to the grounding location shown
Route the Red power wire and Blue Throttle position sensor wire from the 6 wire 18 awg cable along the airbag tray underneath the ACD Pro towards the driver door Continue Routing the Blue TPS wire down the side kick guard and through the rubber grommet Use a flat head screw driver remove the driver fender liner clips as shown in order to pull back the liner and continue feeding through the Blue TPS wire up along the fender Feed the Blue TPS wire up through the fender well and into the engine bay
Disconnect the ECU wiring harness from the ECU and use a flathead screw driver to expose the connector Tap into the OEM TPS wire (10 th wire over from the top left Grey with thin red stripe) Reconnect the plastic connector shroud and connect the wiring harness back to the ECU Connect the Red wire to a 15 amp 12V Power source located in the fuse panel behind the dash.
Reinstall all of the interior and exterior trim. Double-Check and confirm all electrical connections. e-connect the battery cables Turn the ignition to the on position and wait ~20 seconds for initialization. With the E-brake down the light on the auto/manual switch should become blue. Press the button 1 time to switch into manual mode and turn the dial cw & ccw. The light should increase or decrease in brightness depending on the direction turning. This represents the amount of current being delivered to ACD to engage the differential clutch packs
