DESCRIPTION This service bulletin provides parts and instructions to add a ground wire to the right firewall shutoff valve relay. COMPLIANCE RECOMMENDED. This service bulletin should be accomplished at a scheduled maintenance period or inspection. A service bulletin published by Cessna Aircraft Company may be recorded as "completed" in an aircraft log only when the following requirements are satisfied: 1) The mechanic must complete all of the instructions in the service bulletin, including the intent therein. 2) The mechanic must correctly use and install all applicable parts supplied with the service bulletin kit. Prepare the airplane for maintenance. A. Make sure that the airplane is electrically grounded. B. Make sure that all switches are in the OFF/NORM position. C. Disconnect electrical power from the airplane. (1) Disconnect the airplane battery. (2) Disconnect external electrical power. D. Attach maintenance warning tags to the battery and external power receptacle that have "DO NOT CONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER - MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS" writtenonthem. 2. Get access to the aft power J-Box. A. (Model 525 airplanes) Open aft baggage compartment panels 321A and 322A and remove the cover from the aft side of the J-Box. (Refer to the Model 525 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 6, Access Plates and Panels Identification - Description and Operation.) B. (Model 525A and 525B airplanes) Open aft baggage compartment panel 321CC. (Refer to the applicable Maintenance Manual, Chapter 6, Access Plates and Panels Identification - Description and Operation.) 3. (Refer to Figure 1, Detail A.) Get access to the firewall shutoff valve relay wiring. A. Remove the cover from the forward side of the aft power J-Box. (Refer to the applicable Maintenance Manual, Chapter 24, DC Electrical Load Distribution - Maintenance Practices.) B. (Refer to Figure 2.) Disconnect electrical connector PZ102. 4. (Refer to Figure 2.) Modify the wiring. A. Install the electrical wire from BBPT041 to BBPZ102 using one 204814-1 Connector and one S2099-6 Contact and MS3367-1-0 Tie Straps as necessary. (Refer to the applicable wiring diagram manual, Chapter 20, Wiring - Maintenance Practices.) NOTE: Cut the BBPT041-BBPZ102 Electrical Wire as necessary to fit the model of airplane being modified. 5. 6. Do an functional test of the firewall shutoff valve. (Refer to the applicable Maintenance Manual, Chapter 28, Fuel Distribution - Adjustment/Test.) 7. Install the cover on the forward side of the aft power J-Box. (Refer to the applicable Maintenance Manual, Chapter 24, DC Electrical Load Distribution - Maintenance Practices.) 8. Install the removed access panels. A. (Model 525 airplanes) Install the cover on the aft side of the J-Box and close aft baggage compartment panels 321A and 322A. (Refer to the Model 525 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 6, Access Plates and Panels Identification - Description and Operation.) B. (Model 525A and 525B airplanes) Close aft baggage compartment panel 321CC. (Refer to the applicable Maintenance Manual, Chapter 6, Access Plates and Panels Identification - Description and Operation.) 9. Record that this service bulletin has been completed. A. Complete a Maintenance Transaction Report. B. Put a copy of the completed Maintenance Transaction Report in the airplane logbook. C.
