For the Week of December 18 City of DeSoto Holiday Schedule City Offices and Facili es will be closed on December 24, and December 25, in observance of the Christmas Holiday and on January 1, 2019 in observance of New Years Day. The City s solid waste contractor, Republic Waste observes the Christmas Holiday and New Years Day holiday and there will be no trash collec on on those days. On December 25, 2019 regular Tuesday trash collec on will shi to Wednesday, recycling will shi to Thursday, December 27th, regular Thursday collec on shi s to Friday, December 28th and Friday collec on will be made on Saturday, December 29th. There will be no trash collec on on January 1st and regular Tuesday collec on will shi to Wednesday, January 2nd, recycling will move to Thursday, January 3rd, regular Thursday customers will have their trash collected on Friday January 4th and Friday trash will be collected on January 5th. The regular trash collec on cycle will resume on Monday, January 7th.

Live Christmas Tree Recycling The City s solid waste contractor, Republic Waste, will be collecting live Christmas trees for recycling on January 3rd and 4th and on January 10th and 11th. Place your tree on the curb in front of your home for recycling. Trees placed in the alley will go to the landfill. Be sure to remove all decorations and lights for recycling. Trees with flocking or artificial trees cannot be recycled. Place them with your regular trash for pick up. If you have any questions regarding your trash service or tree pickup, please call the City of DeSoto Action Center at 972.230.9600. 5
