Emergency Lowering - Mechanical Manual emergency lowering facilitated by pulling the red knob on the lift actuator upwards, allowing the lifting bar to lower down slowly. When re attaching please ensure it is securely fitted, before using the equipment. If using the equipment to stand a person onto the floor, the brakes must always be applied. 2 Operation - General Procedures Firstly ensure you select the correct sling size for the person being transferred. The sling should be fitted around the persons stomach / lower back and not around the chest. Push the SA160C towards the person and apply the brakes. Extend the carry bar (1) towards the person and attach the relevant slings loops to the hooks (2) Tension the carry bar and lock into position using the two screws ( 3).
