From the President Matt Hunter Happy November! Almost the end of the year! We are voting this month for the Board of Directors. Please be at the November meeting as you must be present to vote. Actual members can vote, associate members (i.e. family members) are not eligible. The new Board of Directors will begin in January of 2018. I sent an email with a list of events over the next couple of months. If you plan on attending, let others in the club know so we can go together. The Facebook page is a great way to communicate cruising to a show. We cancelled the road rally. Please be at the meeting so we can talk about this. Next May is our national show. This is very important for the club, the community, our sponsor opportunities, and our benefit. Hosting the national shows are a lot of hard work, but fun. Be part of the fun. -Matt PAGE 2

From the Editor Todd Smith November is here! Busy month in store. Please make plans to attend the meeting this coming Tuesday as we will be confirming the new Board of Directors and finalizing plans for the Christmas party next month. The bios are still up for anyone s review. There is a show coming up on the 11 th in North Charleston. Would be a nice little cruise if people wanted to caravan up. Our National Show will be here before we know it! Start thinking about trophy sponsors to help us out. The more money we raise is the more money we can give to the Rebecca Erryn Moon Foundation. Let s try and up our participation and get togethers within the club. Lots of times only the same people show up for ice cream socializing and whatnot. Let s try and plan to get together several times a month to socialize and get the cars out while the weather is nice. It s always great to see everyone! See y all Tuesday night! Keep the shiny side up and between the lines! Todd Smith Secretary/Editor Todrick21@yahoo.com PAGE 3

Mike Anchor Board Member Nominees I have been nominated for the position of President for the CSRA Mustang Club for the upcoming 2 years. I humbly accept the nomination. Many of you know me, but I m sure many don t, so let me introduce/reintroduce myself. I have been a member of the CSRA Mustang Club and the Mustang Club of America since 1998. During that time, I have served the CSRAMC as Treasurer, Secretary/Editor and MCA Regional Director. I am currently a MCA National Director. It was my honor and privilege to be the Show Chairman for the Gateway Southern Stampede National Mustang Show in 2015 and again for the Georgia on My Mind National Mustang Show to be held in 2018. My family consists of two Mustangs; a 1993 GT ( Jenny ) and a 2012 MCA Edition Mustang ( Waylon ) oh, and my wife, Tina and a daughter and son, Samantha and Zane (who has a 95 SVT Cobra). The CSRA Mustang Club has literally become my second family. I am truly blessed and honored to call so many members friend. I was drawn to the hobby and the club because of my love of the Mustang. What I found was that the Mustang has been a vessel used to forge many lasting friendships. As president, I would like to continue the legacy of those that have guided the club and formed my devotion to the club. Each member of the CSRA Mustang Club is an asset and vitally important to the club. I am proud to be a member of a club that continually gives back to the community, most notably the Rebecca Erryn Moon Foundation. I would appreciate your support by voting for me as President of the CSRA Mustang Club for the next two years. If elected, I know that the shoes of past presidents are mighty big to follow. I have a few ideas that I d like to implement to ensure that the club remains one of the premiere MCA charter clubs and to keep club members engaged and involved in activities. I may fall flat on my face, but I m willing to give it the old college try! Don Blackstock I've been an active member of the CSRA Mustang Club for 20 years, having served as President for 6 years and Regional Director for 2 years. I have served two 2-year terms as MCA National Director and have submitted my bio to be considered for another 2-year term beginning in 2018. I have worked in the judging community for several years and am presently an MCA Gold Card Judge in the Occasional/Daily Driven classes. I assisted the Executive Director of the Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration in Charlotte in 2014 and the MCA 40th Anniversary Celebration in Indianapolis in 2016, serving as vendor liaison for both events. I also served in the same capacity during the CSRA Mustang Club's MCA National Show in 2015. I have actively sought and secured sponsorship for many past CSRA Mustang Club events and continue to work on behalf of the club in that area. I would like your support as I run for CSRA Mustang Club Vice-President for the 2-year term beginning January 2018. PAGE 4

James Aldridge Hello! My name is James Aldridge and I am running for the Officer position of Secretary/Editor for the CSRA Mustang Club. I have been a Ford Mustang Fanatic for over 30 years (although my first Ford was an 86 Mercury Capri RS I should ve kept that car, but that s another story for another time!). I love the Mustang and everything it represents to the automotive community. I bleed ford Blue. I have been a member of the CSRA Mustang Club since 1994. Over the years I have held every Officer position in the Club at least once. During that time period, I help the Club grow to the popularity it is today. I have been Show Chairman for several shows over the years and have Chaired and served on numerous committees. My involvement in Club activities cannot be questioned. If elected to the Secretary/Editor, I will strive to keep the records up to date and available to Club members, as well as keep the Newsletter informative and entertaining. I will also promote the Club to the public in a complimentary manner. I would like to see the Club membership grow and get the youth membership more involved in the workings of the Club. I promise to uphold the reputation and respect of the CSRA Mustang Club and perform the duties of Secretary/Editor to the best of my ability. Thank you and please consider for the Secretary/Editor position. PAGE 5

Ford News and Notes FORD PERFORMANCE, ROUSH DEVELOP NEW 700-HP, 5.0-LITER V8 SUPERCHARGER FOR 2018 MUSTANG (Article and Photos Courtesy of Ford Performance) Five-Point OMG! Ford Performance, Roush Develop New 700-hp, 5.0-Liter V8 Supercharger for 2018 Mustang GT and F-150 OCT 31, 2017 Ford Motor Company Press Release DEARBORN A storied history in powertrain development between Ford Performance and Roush Performance continues with a new state-of-the-art supercharger that peaks at 700 horsepower for the new V8-powered 2018 Mustang GT. PAGE 6

The supercharger kit is specially designed to work with the 5.0-liter V8 s new port and direct injection fuel system. The Mustang GT version also offers 610 lb.-ft. of torque at 12 psi of boost on 93 octane fuel for either manual or automatic transmission. When fitted to a 2018 F- 150, it provides 640 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. The kit comes with all installation hardware and an exclusive performance calibration. Ford Performance and Roush, with a successful working relationship that goes back more than two decades, are the foremost experts on Ford powertrains. This new supercharger kit is backed by a limited warranty and the vast support network of Ford Motor Company and Roush. The installation of this kit does not void new vehicle warranties. Ford and Roush have teamed up on performance for years on and off the track, said Doug White, Global Ford Performance Parts Manager. This new supercharger is another great example of our innovation in performance, greatly improving horsepower and torque so people can enjoy two of our most iconic vehicles even more." Our teams collaborated to create the most highly engineered, tested and performing supercharger kit on the market, said Jack Roush, chairman, board of directors, Roush Performance. The combination of the 2018 5.0-liter engine and our all-new, fully integrated PAGE 7

2650 supercharger system yields simply incredible, no-compromise performance.
