Power that moves the world.
We have solutions on hand. If you would like to have the world on a string, we will provide it. Since 1966 Rollstar has been the first manufacturer to offer both, hydraulic motors and planetary gears, from the same producer. We manufacture our aggregates for torques from 1,500 up to 2,000,000 Nm in modular construction in both series and in large numbers of items. In addition to this, a large number of execution variants exists for the input and output side, whereby nearly all applications can be solved. Standard assortment products are available in stock at any time, and special requests are implemented on short notice by our design engineering department and completed on time by our highly motivated employees. Rollstar customers around the world (our export rate amounts to over 90%!) can count on receiving prompt service at any time. Since 1993 Rollstar has been certified in accordance with ISO 9001. Continuously striving for the highest customer satisfaction is the top priority of Rollstar. Highly trained employees, an appealing delivery program of the highest quality and the outstanding adherence to delivery dates guarantee that in the industry we are regarded as an extremely reliable partner.
So that the Leaning Tower can remain leaning for a long time. A spongelike undergound allowed the campanile of the cathedral of Pisa to sink on one side with the commencement of the construction in the year 1174. This helped create one of the most popular photo sets centuries later. Who isn t familiar with the float of the photo model, where the hand is saving the tower from tilting? The tower, leaning at an incline, was first harnessed in 2001. Rollstar hydraulic motors with planetary gearboxes were used for the rescue of this UNESCO world cultural heritage. Hydraulic motors with planetary gearboxes from Rollstar come in different sizes, in an adjustable design with 2 or 3 gears, whereby the circuitry is possible on the gearbox as well as on the motor side. Circuitry is likewise available in hydraulic or pneumatic execution.
So that our world remains worth living. The planet Earth offers a rich abundance of renewable energy one must only know how to use it. For example, with the appropriate technology, valuable gas for thermic and electrical generation can be obtained from vegetable composts. This occurs among other things in a fermentation plant in which compost and green wastes are fermented. In order to accelerate the fermentation process, a Rollstar aggregate propels a central agitating wave, whereby the composting is held in motion and aerated. Fermentation plants, provided with Rollstar planetary gear with a mounted electric motor or with engines according to customer choice, stand worldwide in operation. In addition, the drives are available in plug-in or flange construction.
So that you can travel at speeds of up to 250 km/h through the Gotthard. The Gotthard basis tunnel of the NRLA (New Railway Link through the Alps) is the largest tunnel project in the world. Work takes place around the clock on the building sites in the cantons of Uri, Graubünden and Ticino altogether 153.4 km tunnels whereby the pits and lugs must be bored so that the railway trains connecting the North to the South can travel up to 250 kilometers/h. Hydraulic motors with planetary gearboxes from Rollstar are implemented in this century project. Hydraulic motors with planetary gearboxes from Rollstar are used as main drives of the drilling head of large and smaller tunnel drilling machines as well as for the transfer and positioning of the tubbings. So that energy from a depth of 7,000 meters can also become profitable. The forces of a violent storm which can affect the work of offshore oil constructions are immense. In order to resist these forces, the highest requirements are placed on the firmness of the support legs of the platform. Thus, the support legs of a North Sea offshore construction work for example, consist of metal sheets which were bent on a metal-bending machine driven by Rollstar hydraulic motors and planetary gearboxes. Hydraulic motors and planetary gears from Rollstar are implemented in piping and metal-bending machines as well as in rolling mills. Standard drives produce a torque of up to 2 million Nm, however it has already been realized with up to 4.5 million Nm.
So that you can profit overall from Swiss precision. Rollstar also plays a part in the runway pleasure: the security of thousands of winter sport enthusiasts hangs on a steel thread when they ascend to the peak of the summit. And reliability is an absolute must for the rope drive, which must carry approximately 25 tons of traction power and function at temperatures of 30 C with Swiss precision as for example in an aerial ropeway plant in the Austrian Zillertal, where an auxiliary drive from Rollstar is installed. Planetary gearboxes for the aerial ropeway industry require the highest quality for the utmost in reliability. The mounting dimensions and the engine construction can be adapted to the customers requests.
So that you know whom you can rely on. Swiss precision develops with Rollstar in addition to many years experience with the most cutting edge tools with CAD- and FE-computation possibilities on our side. We are constantly extending and renewing our modern machinery for the highly precise manufacture of all parts. Therefore we are also able to manufacture and work on all construction units ourselves. Thus we possess control of our productions from A to Z using only the highest-quality components. Together with an efficient final assembly Rollstar offers a repair system as efficient as it is fast: within two to three days after receipt we will have already dismantled your equipment and provided an estimated cost, and another two to three days later we will have implemented a standard repair. And should you require assistance, we will provide it on the spot: spare Rollstar parts can be supplied within 72 hours to each international airport.
