Central Oklahoma Corvair Association THE PREZ SEZ Hello Green Shirt Corvairians (COCA Members) October, 2017 Well, we all survived another Great Plains Roundup; Wow, was it FUN!!! There seemed to be something going on all hours of each day. The 2017 Roundup is one for the history books. There were 87 Corvairs in Oklahoma City for the weekend and 140 people from all around the Central United States and from South Carolina too. 9 States and 10 clubs were represented for the weekend. We had great vendors and great food. There were valve cover races, boat rides on the Oklahoma River, a car show and even a tour to the Brass Car Museum worked into the schedule. The Embassy Suites hotel was just over the top in hospitality, taking care of us all. A great time by everyone was had. So in the Words of Ed Sullivan, TV host from 1948-1971: We have just had, A Really Big Shew, A Really Big Shew. Definitely the 2017 Great Plains Roundup was the happening place to be in Oklahoma City this weekend. Well, guess it is time to start preparing for the next one Not. Let s all take a well-deserved break and then get back to the norm for a while. That sounds like good advice to me. So as you are enjoying your relaxation time during the next few months, make sure to add the dates on your calendar for Corvair Heritage Days in Mineral Wells with North Texas, Grand Lodge Resort in Crested Butte with the Rocky Mountain Corsa Tri-State clubs and the 2018 Great Plains Roundup at Wichita Kansas. Each one of these activities are proven to be a great time. So definitely start planning your calendar for next year and don t be afraid to think BIG. Plan to take a trip with us. Now with everything said, it is my pleasure to tell each one of you, Corvairians from the Central Oklahoma Corvair Association --- Thank you! It was so much fun working shoulder-to-shoulder with you as we were all a part of the 2017 Great Plains Roundup. So for now find some curvy roads and keep it between the lines. Drive safe, be safe!
