LEDlux Lustre SKU# 181003 Rated Voltage 220-240V~ 50Hz Thank you for purchasing this quality Lucci product. To ensure correct function and safety, please read and follow all instructions carefully before assembly, installation and use of this product. Please keep instructions for future reference. Warranty This fitting is covered by a 3 year warranty. The warranty is from date of purchase, not the date of installation. If the fitting is not installed by a licensed electrician it will void the warranty. Please retain proof of purchase and evidence of installation by a licensed electrician for any warranty enquiries. The use of non-recommended dimmers may damage your LED light fitting and will void the warranty. Warranty will be void if there is any damage due to improper usage or modification to the fitting. Failure to comply with the instructions in this manual may increase the risk of damage or injury and will void warranty. Installation requirements Must be installed by a licensed electrician. All wiring and installation of the light fitting must adhere to local and national wiring rules. eg. AS/NZS 3000:2007/Amendment 2:2012 Electrical installations. This is a Class I fitting and must be earthed during installation. Select a suitable location for installation; - This product is suitable for indoor use only. - The mounting point must support 2 times the weight of the fitting. - Ensure the fitting is not installed in direct line of an air vent/system and is not placed in any moist of damp areas. A mecahnical ON/OFF switch must be incorporated into the fixed wiring circuit before the dimmer in order to shift the colour temperature between 3000K, 4000K or 5000K. Electronic ON/OFF switch/push-button type dimmers, eg. Lucci LEDlux SKU# 290997 push-button dimmer or Clipsal 31E2PUDM push-button dimmer are not compatible with colour shifting fittings. Load sensing type dimmers, e.g. Lumex LT1D450LSWE, are not compatible with colour shifting fittings. This fitting is dimmable and has been tested with Lucci LEDlux SKU# 290998 dimmer, Clipsal 32E450TM and Clipsal 32E450UDM dimmers only. The use of a LED dimmer such as the Lucci LEDlux SKU# 290998 dimmer is highly recommended. NOTE: Some dimmers can switch the LED load OFF (no visible light) in the minimum dimming position, this is not desirable and will affect the colour shift, memory and rest function. When using the Lucci LEDlux SKU# 290998 dimmer, ensure to adjust the variable resistor so that the minimum dimming position DOES NOT switch the LED load OFF. NOTE: The use of non-recommended dimmers may damage your LED light fitting and will void the warranty. NOTE: Dimming may cause buzzing sounds or a slight flicker. There may be slight delays with the LED light start up or slight uneven light performance when more than one LED light fitting is linked together, switched ON or dimmed. This is not a product fault and as such is not covered under warranty. NOTE: Some dimmers have a minimum load of 20W. Ensure the dimmer position is on the maximum setting before turning on the LED light and adjust the dimmer down to your desired light level. Take care not to pull any electrical wires during unpacking as this may damage the connection. Lay out all the components on a smooth surface and make sure there are no components missing before assembling. If parts are missing, return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection or replacement. Check whether the fitting has been damaged during transport. Do not operate/install any product which appears 1 P a g e v 1. 4
damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection, repair or replacement. Ensure power to the circuit you are working on has been switched OFF before commencing any electrical work. Installation directions 1. Remove all packaging material from the product and be careful not to throw away accessories that may be hidden within the packaging material. (Figure A) 2. Remove the shade from the fitting by loosening the locking brackets on the back of the fitting. (Figure B) 3. Use the fitting as a template to mark the screw positions onto the ceiling. 4. Install the fitting onto the ceiling by using appropriately sized mounting screws and anchors. (Figure C) Ensure the mounting screws and anchors used are suitable for the mounting surface. 5. Remove the cover from the terminal block and connect the mains supply wire to the terminal block. (Figure D). Mains Supply Wire Earth Yellow/Green Neutral Blue or Black Live Brown or Red Fitting Wire Yellow/Green Blue Brown Ensure that the wires are secure and no bare wires are exposed. Install the cover back over the terminal block. NOTE: A loop terminal is provided on the terminal block. Please see the LOOP TERMINAL section for assistance with the wiring connection and a diagram. (Figure G) 6. Install the shade onto the fitting using the locking brackets at the back of the fitting, ensure it is secure. (Figure E). 7. After the installation, switch on the fitting to test all the lighting functions and enjoy your new lighting product. 2 P a g e v 1. 4
LOOP TERMINAL: The loop terminal is provided as a second live supply terminal. It is useful when a switch is included into the wiring as shown in the diagram below. (Figure G) WARNING: ALL WIRING CONNECTION AND DISCONNECTION MUST BE PERFORMED BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN. (FIGURE G) COLOUR SHIFTING FUNCTION: Colour temperature shifting function Select the colour temperature of the fitting by turning ON/OFF the switch in the fixing wire (switch not included). Turn ON and then turn OFF the switch within 1 second, the colour temperature of the fitting will be changing in the following cycle: 3000K 5000K 4000K 3000K. Please ensure the dimmer position is on the maximum setting before changing the colour temperature by switch. Colour temperature memory function Select your preferred colour temperature and then turn OFF. After 6 seconds turn on the fitting and it will memorize the last colour temperature status. Colour temperature reset function When installing several fittings on the one circuit and the colour temperatures are in disorder, turn OFF the fittings and wait between 2 to 5 seconds and then turn on the fittings again. The colour temperature will change back to the default setting of 3000K. 3 P a g e v 1. 4
